That XIAOMI lamp you can change color temperature, press down the power button and rotate. Also the yeelight app can also control this lamp, cus its made by yeelight. Also after you register yeelight app you can turn on and off with google asistant. Also idk if it makes you feel better MI home appp on IOS doesnt require extra permission. Iv owned this lamp for years and they do update the firmware on the lamp once in a while.

Yeelight all also has way less rights. The Mi home app Ist literally for like 50+ xiaomi smart home products and thus needs all those rights. Best thing about the app is that you can use it with IFTT/Google Assistant/Alexa but also you can set timers to wake you up. It's so much better getting woken up by light than with a tone
@ironbear7
@ironbear7 6 жыл бұрын
bobsagget823 because the app is not only designed for the lamp ,it can actually control all smart home devices made by xiaomi and they are tons of hardware.

I also have a laptop setup with a desktop screen and I don't dock my laptop. The reason being a second screen is improving my productivity, especially as a non-native speaker 'working' in academia. On the 27' screen I can have two documents open comfortably and on the laptop 17' screen I can have my dictionary, database or notebook software whatever. It's more comfortable than a single screen, and I think that's the advantage of a laptop setup. (Also when you have a second screen working with Photoshop you can view your other photos while developing one, which is really convenient.)

the laptop stand doesn't work for lenovo legion laptops because 1. the fans are on the rear end, meaning the fans would just face directly into the table/stand 2. the other longitudinal edge of the laptop isn't straight; it's a pointed edge as for a quick easy headset rack, just use a banana rack, they do the exact same thing

It's definitely a keeper and very sturdy for different laptop designs. I'd go with an ultrawide instead because it's gonna be better for multitasking while working, but yeah the size is a bit of a problem for some people.

I'm actually surprised someone like don't already have such a set up. I'm full force gaming so I go for performance first and simplicity second (though all my gaming peripherals are simple, yay Zowie and Hyperx).

The app permissions thing; just don't allow it access to all of those. It saying all those in the play store just means it isn't updated for the Marshmallow+ permissions API where they ask when required.

I was about to make a snarky remark along the line of "Ha! Now lamps can track you too!" Then refrained because I thought 'pshh cmon. Lets give em a slack, that's way too much even for th...' I stand tremendously corrected.

I bought the Omoton laptop stand because of this video, and so far I'm very satisfied. My only problem: how to get my Lenovo Y720 laptop to wake from hibernation via external keyboard or mouse? Sleep is no problem, but Windows 10 seems to insist on eventually putting a sleeping machine into hibernation.

doesn't it do any possible damage to the screen cause of the heat? I like the idea but I'm worried of trying it. I have a razer blade 15, doesn't seem to have any front vents so... it should work right?
