I didn't expect it to be this good since I only came for the meme OP. But I think this might actually be my anime of the season, it just feels like so much love has been poured into this adaptation and I never even heard of it before.

@@Kaganath yeah, at first I thought Koumei was a really popular show, until I noticied that people mostly talk about the opening and.. basically only the opening. I barely see any discussion on actual contents of the anime and honestly I feel like this will sadly end up as another overlooked FoTM.

Apparently one of the biggest reasons is because it's only streaming on HIDIVE in the west. It seems fairly popular in Japan, but not a lot of people is seeing it outside.

yeah it is underated as fuck. it may have something to do with the date release. I don't know what anime did launch at the same time as this anime. also it may have something to do with genZ taste. since this has something of history in the plot (the 3 kingdom) which most likely genZ doesn't care about.
