Really uplifting advice for everyone, not just those with schizophrenia. You seen to be aware of your illness, and are coping well. I know someone who does not acknowledge that he's ill, so is far from your state of mind.

@@moneymayn3951 Hey 👋 Since you say you're recovering I think it's safe to say you're on meds? If not then that's probably a good place to start, as in seeing a psychiatrist. But beyond that, if you know you're experiencing schizophrenia then don't allow that knowledge to fade, no matter how real things may seem. Don't struggle and wrestle with any symptoms, trust me! This is counterproductive. The best way to handle them is by learning to let go of them. Think positive thoughts, speak positive words, and defy how it makes you want to act and feel. So it's like if you're being spun in a circle towards the left, how do you counter that? You've to spin in the opposite direction. So schizophrenia spins you in one direction attempting to twist you up and bind you, and the only way to undo this is to act contrary to it, not just with vain actions and words, but with purpose of mind and conviction. So you've to take your life (thoughts, words and actions) into your hands and live with a fierce determination: you'll not be denied. Once you choose to take a stand you better be ready to stand because your resolve will bet tested. But you've to keep your awareness with you, because if you slip too far you'll get caught up in buying into the delusions, and they are powerful. So reason against them should the come to drag you into that world. Just let them show or speak or pull, and you just wall away from it, pull back with reasoning, and stand firm no matter how persuasive it may be. So whatever symptoms come your way, don't stress or follow them. Just let them pass. It's a mental battle, and you've stepped into this battlefield. You've got to understand how to fight, and rules of engagement here. Don't worry about brain chemicals and such. Those things will correct themselves with your direction and purpose of mind, and with time. Good luck 👍

One more thing I get these weird sensations on my face/body it feels like a cool breeze and it stops me from thinking clearly, do you know anything about it ,I feel if I can get rid of whatever it is in my head it will solve my problems aswel as what you was saying . I had these exact same symptoms when I was younger the cool breeze ended up coming out of my forehead and sat on top of my head and moved around abit the next morning it was gone .

Can't say I've experienced this persay. Something that might be in similar vein would be feeling like my brain was dead, and I couldn't even muster one thought. So I had to go about my days without thought. The more I tried to think the more it hurt, so I just stopped thinking. Felt like my brain was rotting, and they voices told me so too, and mocked me for it. I was terrified. But had to learn to adapt and eventually the feeling faded. I'm sure you're familiar with the process that goes into fishing, the whole bait and hook and luring? You catch the fish's attention by luring it with the bait. You essentially lead it with the intent of it following after the bait, which covers the trap: the hook. What you're experiencing is no different, except you're the fish being lured. So the cool breeze thing is simply to get your attention, and once it has that, there's hook hidden beneath that symptom. This is why I said focus your attention on where you want to go and on what you want. If you follow the distraction you'll end up right back into the darkness of delusions and psychosis. You'll get caught by the hook. You can't rush your way out if this. You've to be patient and determined. If the fish doesn't give the bait its attention the fisherman will then pack up his things and head for more favorable waters. But as long as he's feeling nibbling through his line he'll wait because it's only a matter of time until he gets a bite. These are the things that'll get you. I spoke of understanding the rules of engagement and here deception is the name of the game. All that's happening is to deceive you into gatting caught again. So you'll be distracted with this or with that and you'll feel so miserable that you've to respond to them with your attention, which Sounds alright by any reasonable standard. But we're not dealing with reasonable here. This stuff is beyond reason and common sense. This is different world stuff. So reasonable responses will only get you to fall into the trap. This battle is one of faith, patience, determination, courage, perseveranc, hope, etc. These are your greatest weapons on this greatest of battlefields. You can't think like you've been accustomed to. You've to raise the level of your understanding for this. So If it doesn't hurt you to where you need to see a doctor, just let it go. Don't focus on it. If it tells you you can't think clearly, be thankful you can think clearly! That's the way. It's trying to pull you one way, so you've to pull back the other way. This might seems crazy, but there's no greater way to truly defeat this thing. You've to impose your way through your unshakable resolve. But again, patience and consistency. If you don't break then it'll have to. There are rules to how it works. What I'm giving you is insight into those rules. You can't see the full picture now, but walk it by faith and when you get to the other side it'll all make sense. I had to walk it just like I'm showing you. All I had was the thought that I couldn't go back because death was all that was waiting for me, and forward was the only option even though it was filled nothing but fears and anxieties and I had to confront every damn one of them and overcome them. It's about letting go of what you don't want so you may hold on to what's of value and that you do want. The negatives will try to get you to hold them, and by doing so you effectively release the positives/their oppsites: can't hold both at the same time. Can't be sane and insane, delusional and not delusional, symptomatic and non symptomatic. Whichever one you give your attention to that's the way you fall. It's simple, but this is where people make their most fatal mistakes. We allow feelings to guide us. Don't you fall for it. Rule over feelings. Set you mind beyond it and rise above it. That's the way. It'll break. I promise you this.

Did you ever have tinnitus during your psychosis? Also, when you recovered through your symptoms; did your memory retention improve?
@themorningmist99
@themorningmist99 Жыл бұрын
No, I don't recall having tinnitus. If I did, it wasn't so prominent or prolonged that I'm able to recall it. And yes, my memory, though far from where I want it to be, has recovered quite a bit. My memory was so bad my sister used to call me, "Memory boy," lol. But yes, a lot better today. Having gone through four periods in college for electrician apprenticeship, it would've had to cause it was tough enough as it was, for me.
