幻のパイオニア番組「ぽんぽこ物語」の大半の映像が見つかったのは、ほとんど奇跡に近く、めでたいかぎりで、DVD発売が待たれます。これは1957年11月11日放送開始となっていますが、実は先行作品として、1954年9月に封切られた新東宝映画「たん子たん吉珍道中」三部作があり、テレビ版はこれを土台にしたものと思われます。こちらは、「ぽんぽこ物語」の子役二人よりいくらか年長で、当時の人気子役コンビの松島トモ子・小畑やすしをフィーチャーした作品でした。なお、KINENOTEの解説に[宮崎博史作の民間放送の人気番組から脚色]とあるのは両者の年代順から疑義があり、かといって他に先行のラジオドラマ版などが見当たらないので、これは単に同年（1954）に出版された宮崎著の絵本版（東京文芸社ほか刊）からの脚色と思われます。最後に、番組で子狸のぽん吉を演じた栗原真一さんについては、「婦人画報」1958年3月号巻末の子役特集の記事に、顔写真付きで「年齢にくらべてカンが鋭く、またとても素直」「お父さんは、東京目黒の柿の木坂の薬屋さん」「八才、好きなものはおすし」などとあります。

本当ですよね。 初のテレビ映画と言われるわりに画像映像がまったく出て来ないので不思議でした。 起源については興味深い話でした。 ワタクシも機会が有ったら調査したいですね。
