I had to move my entire apartment out in two days. Yes they only gave us two days to get out and into our new unit. I can tell you at the end of it I was in so much pain i could not move much at all for the next THREE days. Walking on my feet felt like literally pushing really hard into a bruise!

Aw, man, I feel this one. Moving has been a constant hell for me for 3 years. So we had to sell our family home of 12 years, which was really hard. Height of covid, too, so housing was hard to get, really expensive, and I already live in one of the most populated states in the US, but then we also saw a huge influx of Californians that year, escaping the high cost of living in that state. So people were buying and renting in droves, and offering more than owners were asking, which made it nearly impossible to land a place. We finally secure one, no easy feat when one person has a bankruptcy on their record, making them look at y'all funny, on top of all else. We think we can breathe for a couple of years, repair credit, etc.... No. Because the owners wanted to sell as soon as our lease was up. So we had to move again, with even higher prices and still-high demand, in 30 days. We begged for more time, even offered more money, but they wouldn't budge! (Ironically, they couldn't sell as fast as they hoped to, and ended up renting it again, losing money the whole time) We found a house 4 days after we should've been out. Luckily, the owners lived in Cali, so we didn't end up with an eviction on our record. But now we're in a rental that has so many issues, and we can't ever get repair requests answered, and our property management go-between agent is a literal, demonstrable idiot. But we can't afford to move again, so we're just stuck for now. All that to say, I get it! Moving already sucks and can be expensive, and then you get thrown a curveball. I hope this transition goes as smoothly as it can over the next month and you can land in LA soon! Thank goodness for Mattea's apartment magic! Not all realtors are good ones!

This is so relatable (minus the driving around the country part). Me and my partner found the perfect apartment and we were waiting for the tenants lease to end and my family were moving out of the rental 3 months earlier so I basically had all my shit in storage and awkwardly crashing at my girlfriend’s dad’s place for like 5 months (which I had already been doing for years tbh). It’s so stressful and not fun

Oh man I feel you. I am currently moving out of my apartment where I lived for 5 years with my now ex-partner. I found a room in a pretty cool shared house for only 7 weeks, for now. It is quite stressful because everything is so last minute. But even though I am really looking forward to moving on, literally, I really hope to find an actual home soon.
