Märtha Louise believes that changing the world starts within each and every one of us. She gives us a deep plunge into her journey from a scared little princess to a women trusting her inner guidance and daring to live a different life than expected of her. Are you ready to take action and be the change? Märtha Louise is the eldest child and only daughter of King Harald V and Queen Sonja. At birth, she was not in line for the throne, because according to law only males could inherit the Norwegian throne. The constitution was changed in 1990, but only affects those born in that year or later. Märtha currently has more freedom from her constitutional role, because of her own commercial entertainment business. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I definitely can relate to the “committee” in our heads telling us we aren’t “good enough.” That’s why I have learned to listen to my heart where God speaks Love.

My favourite princess speaking, and what raw and natural communication. A most lovely being, often misunderstood in our home country by the crowds of simple-minded fellow Norwegians.

Brave of you to be you , Merta ! Remember you from the stable, saw you around in different stables when you competed. Wouldn't have dared to think a princess would want to speak to me , so I never approached you . Rarely do anyone when I think about it unless we bump into eachothers many times and recognize eachothers. Typical Norwegian. Anyways, think you are very brave and even though you have privileges most haven't and a family who seems amazing, I think the expectations and pressure you have lived with must have been very challenging and hard , stressful to live with. Some , I don't think it's many , but they're so into royal life and how it's supposed to be, can imagine that's difficult. I'm proud of how down to earth and kind you and Norwegian royals are. I sometimes think that when you came out as so spiritual, many was still very close minded. Think even how much criticism you got , you still have a big role in making it more acceptable and because you were into stuff like that , it didn't seem so far out there , for some. Think you have made it more acceptable. More people open up more and more each day . What you say matters. Wish you the best for the future. You remember you will always have people who appreciate what they see in you and hear from you and supports you , even though they're not the ones that screams loudly and you may notice the most. We are here supporting you .⚘ And you inspire and help people. So know a lot of Norwegians appreciate you very much. ❤🤲💛🌬💫💕

In this day and age why do we need a prince, princesses, kings or queens? It's ridiculous. Why do they get to rule everything? What do they do to help their countries? It's so weird 😕
