During our interview with Austin, he very humbly thanked all of the people who helped make the build possible, including FAST of West Chester, Schmuck Built, Carbon Fiber Element, Nostalgic Grains, and Exact Art Fabrication. Unfortunately, due to my editorial overthinking, that didn't make the final cut, and that's my bad. -Tall Ben

One of my all-time favorite builds. Austin's ethos with this car represent everything that I love and aspire to attain as a car enthusiast. A unique style, executed in a clean and tasteful way, all-the-while retaining its functionality. Points for being a WRX hatch, choosing--not only a legendary motor, but to also mate it with an AWD system (befitting a subaru), and adding a wide-body and air suspension, but not cambering it out, so that it remains capable while cornering. A show car capable of track days. Love it.

For the size of turbo, yes. He said himself the turbo is happy in the 35-40psi range and once the motor is built he will crank it up. Medium boost was a reference to the turbo, not towards power. While one turbos efficiency range is maxed out at 29psi, another turbos range may be 40-50psi

Kevin K just because he's driving it on the streets does not mean it is street legal. So tell me. How is this street legal? The engine alone wasn't offered in the United States. The engine is of a different manufacturer. The turbo kit isn't legal. The exit path of the exhaust out of the hood is not legal. Hence no catalytic converters. Let's be real here. The car is fully done up from the ground up, do you really think he's retaining all his smog hardware?

So that’s what happens when Nissan and Subaru combine 🤔 Awesome. Wouldn’t the Subaru AWD system be better tho?
@raleshkumar81336 жыл бұрын
r3ktfahdle I'd argue that the Nissan system is better because it isn't fwd bias like Subaru and has the ability to push 100% power to either front or rear.
@r3ktfahdle1206 жыл бұрын
ralesh kumar the sti has that power to...
@koonzify6 жыл бұрын
IMO the biggest plus side to using the Nissan trans/awd is the significantly bigger, and thus stronger, diffs that come with the GTR. An R180 can only take so much power. All of this however doesn’t even take into consideration that to pair an RB to a Subaru gearbox, the rear of the engine has to be in front of the front axles; which would place the front of the engine a solid foot out the front of the car.
@raleshkumar81336 жыл бұрын
r3ktfahdle no it doesn't. A dccd can't transfer 100% power either way. It can push Max 80% either way
