Sir, I am amazed by your wonderful lecture on the lacking of the Quran. I have always considered this book as a godly book, as taught by my parents and teachers. But various youtube discussions made by traditional belief thin. and I started doubting. But still I could not arrive at a decision. I was scared to read the original religious books which were too lengthy and difficult to understand. And I could not find the solution. In such a situation, a friend of mine gave me a book on Quran, well, its title was, Knowledge of Quran for the non-Muslims". It was a very small book, hardly 125 page or so and published by the Amazon.com. It was written by an Indian author, and the language used was extremely suitable for me. From the very beginning, the author told against religions, and in favor of atheism. Then he narrated why religions were created by the money hungry people. And it narrated various ways for doing the same. Then, it narrated those in case of Muslim's religion. And everything including why regimental type of five times prayer was introduced, how it in fact targeted to conquire the world in the name of a religion etc. turned crystal clear to me. The book helped me to understand numerous unsolved and difficultly answered questions about the Quran. Now when you say, the names of Allah was later added, many lines were erased and changed etc., I understand the reasons, because I now understand there was nothing miraculous or godly, but were the creations of the shrewd selfish-minded people. The good doc is forgetting to mention when the Arabian Peninsula was under Roman Rule, they never had any record of a city called Mecca. Ptolemy was all over the area recording stuff. It seems more likely the fabrication of the Cult of Personality & a "religion" are very dangerous combinations.

1 Chronicles 19:7 refers to a king of Maakah allying himself with Ammonites to fight David. In all likelihood that place would be much farther north than the modern city of Mecca as Maakah is connected to Aram and must be within marching distance of ancient Israel. I wonder if ancient Maakah might be modern Petra and if Arab historians may have appropriated the name when they needed a revised historical setting for their prophet.

Gentlemen, those are not seventh century maps: in fact the one at 15:07 and the one at 15:24 are the same maps with just different lighting or tone! Nor is the Tabula Asiae VI at 15:00 from the sixth century- it is from Venice and drawn by Gastaldi in 1548 based on information from Ptolemy. The very first map at 14:39 is not a Byzantine map: clearly it is a modern graphic. You have undermined an otherwise informative video with these, although the absence of Mekka is accurate as Ptolemy never heard of the place. Sorry to complain, but these errors are egregious and as a scholar I would take a student to the woodshed for something like this.

It's an entertaining read, but I don't think any true believer would accept all those stories as historical facts. Thanks for your comments on the Book of Jubilees. It is good to see how much of the Quran is copied from other sources. Like the famous verse they try to use to claim that Islam is a religion of peace that comes from the Jewish Mishnah about "a man killing one man is like killing all humanity and a man who saves another being as if he had saved all humanity". The Jews never thought it was really from God but the Qur'an attributes it to Allah. It seems that whoever constructed the Qur'an just used supposed wisdom literature from all over and wove it with Arab propaganda to inspire their followers to fight against the Byzantine empire harder.

Mecca is clearly in the wrong place. We know where Abraham came from and we know where he ended up. There is no logic for him to go so far south in Arabia to get from Ur to Israel. The existence of Jesus can be proved for all reasonable people. The existence of Isa cannot be proved. There is plenty of historical evidence showing that Jesus of Nazareth was a real person from the New Testament, from Josephus the Jew, from Roman sources and African sources. All attest to Him being crucified by the Romans when the church says He was and to the beliefs of the earliest Christians that He rose from the dead and that the earliest Christians worshipped Jesus as God. The Gospel: Matthew Mark Luke and John was all written down within a few decades of His death and resurrection and that these documents as well as the letters of the apostles were being copied and translated from the beginning. This is very different from the beginning of Islam even according to its own sources. The earliest sources we have for Muhammad come from the hadiths of Al Bukhari which come from over 140-240 years after the death of Muhammad and have very unreliable chains of provenance, with single names of various people called Muhammad (not the supposed original) with no other reference to identify them in a time when everyone had suddenly started calling themselves or their children Muhammad.

What do you mean by the inheritance of sin? Like you all Christians believe that people will be judged for their own sins. But not all Christians agree on the effects of the sinful nature inherited from Adam. Some do believe that people are born guilty of sin because of it but many don't believe that this sinful nature itself makes us guilty before God. Many believe that the sin that we inherit from Adam is actually a tendency to sin or a weakness that leaves us unable to avoid eventually committing the sins that we are judged for. In any case the universal experience of mankind is that we do have that tendency to act in ways that are not pleasing to God. If the Muslim doctrines of fitra and that Allah protects believers from error were true there would never have been anyone but those who follow God, but as their are many who don't there must be something wrong with those beliefs: either man is born with a nature that is not inclined towards God or God does not protect all believers from error. There is no proof of the existence of Jesus, Abraham or Moses, the only source of those is the bible. I don't see how your stupid tablet proves anything. On the other hand, real historians have shown how the construction of Abraham, Moses or Jesus are just plagiarism from more ancient religions or myths. But you can delude yourselves as much as you want. The only thing you have is faith, which is basically worthless.

@J DV no, people that think Jesus didn't exist is people that want to have historical proof of the existence of that mythical being, or do you believe that robin hood and king Arthur really existed? Specially people such as Jesus with all his supposed deeds and movements couldn't have gone unoticed, or there is not one iota of proof. So you can only "believe" on a copy of a copy of a copy from mythical accounts like the gospels and all the christian lore.

I have a deep respect for Dr. Shabir Ally but on this one he is helpless and he showed it to us in his debate with Jay Smith in 2014 where he could not refute any of these tangible and palpable historical allegations. . So dear brother in humanity do research instead of making innuendo.
