Another female idol that comes to mind who's talent went to waste, whether through bad luck, lack of promotion, or just for any reason in particular, is Euna Kim. She was supposed to have debuted in a new YG girl group, possibly Blackpink, before leaving the label. Then, in 2015, she was part of The Ark, who only relased 2 songs before disbanding. Then, in 2018, she was in the short-lived duo Khan with Minju from The Ark releasing only 1 song before disbanding. She retired altogether from the industry in 2021 to become a Christian missionary. She had it all to succeed, but unfortunately didn't. She was a very good idol rapper and had good vocals as well.

I feel sympathy for this girl. She's been trying almost for 2 decades, and even with little to no success in many occasions, she stills trying I don't want to sound rude, but since k-pop is marketed mainly at teens and more and more groups debut each year, I find hard for her to find her place at spotlight, since she is basically old to be a rookie. Other idols her age are seniors with years of career... I hope she finds happiness in what she decide to make, but maybe idol life is not for her at all. THIS!!! I also said something like this on another video and got attacked by her so called fans saying "you're a hater" "THIS IS HER DREAM!" blah blah blah. Listen, I appreciate people with big dream or any dream. But you also need to have logic. In chanmi's case, she already spent 2 DECADES (and more if you include her training days) to "reach" her dream as idol. Sorry for this harsh truth, but if I were her, I would quit kpop and find something that's more "reachable" to prepare for my future. Maybe go to hairstylist lesson, or anything quickly. Why I said "quickly"? Because her age is not young enough to debut. And NO, THIS IS NOT AGEISM. This is logical thinking. Every year, hundreds or thousands young girls get debuted. The chance of chanmi getting debuted at this time is very very low. And if she want to spend another decade to try to be an idol, that's a stupid decision. And sorry for saying this one last thing. But I think her fans also to be blame. They keep commenting "don't give up, chanmi!" Or "I'm sure you will debut in the future, chanmi!" Rather than telling her the truth and she probably let those words close her mind from reality. Once again, I'm not saying that we have to "destroy" her dream. But sometimes you have to accept the hard truth.

She is in the retirement age for most idols, but she didn't even reach a proper debut that lasted more than a couple of years She is getting into what we call in my country, the "dangerous age". I'll explain The "dangerous age" is that stage of your life where you start being old enough to have issues getting into the labor force, because most employers could think there's an issue with you if you are that old and don't have a proper job yet. I don't know if I'm explaining this well... What I mean is, she should focus in getting a regular job and stop wasting more time trying to get into an industry that rejects her over and over, and is also oriented to teens (so her being in her 30's is actually an issue)

She wasn't THAT unlucky though? Like, she has been active and has released music and music videos? I'd guess that a great majority of trainees get eliminated without ever setting foot on a stage. Being part of a huge group like SNSD or Blackpink is not the only form of success, most idols never reach that level, so I don't think you should call her 'unlucky' because of that. I mean look what happened with the groups that she "almost" got into...Wanna One is long gone, Momoland got sued then they disbanded, SNSD ran into lots of controversy, F(x) even lost a member tragically. We never know what would have happened if she got into any of those groups, or if she really would have been better off.
