Penn & Teller perform some of the routines they have used on American tours and specials for a British studio audience. A well-known, usually British, guest helps out. There are some forays outside the studio as well.

That jam session in the beginning intro is amazing, though.

How do they force it if he's randomly picking it out of the deck
@JustLooseMe6 жыл бұрын
in this case it´s really simple. the trick called "Pinky Break" and you just force the voluntary to pick a card in the middle of a deck. but from the other side you hold it like this. www.wikihow.com/images/thumb/6/61/Do-a-Pinky-Break-Step-8.jpg/aid166311-v4-728px-Do-a-Pinky-Break-Step-8.jpg so the first Card was selected by you.

People who may not be familiar with Penn and Teller magics, it is their favorite card. 3 of clubs. So, whenever they show a card selected by audience as 3 of clubs, it means they are just messing with the audience. And it's damn funny for any Penn and Tell watchers.

That last bit, it was obvious right away that something wasn’t quite right. At first I thought it wasn’t really P&T, that they were stand ins that kind of looked like them. It hit me what was going on when Penn “bounced” the scone.

Is it just me, or does the guy beside the guy in the blue Hawaiian shirt, look like the same guy who appeared lately on "Fool Us Teach you a trick" Richard Turner?

I know how they did the water trick. It's "dry water". Water that is being used in fire alarms that doesn't harm any electronics because it's not actually water, only looks like one. It is not a conductor.

Really? You think so? It's television, and a comedic, magic show. It's all carefully planned out and they wouldn't let someone actually die. You're näive.

Damènwave 8513 it's palmed in under the knife. When fry is told the last time to show there is nothing in his hands, teller makes the move then. The watch is only inside the fish for a matter of seconds

That Houdini skit left a really bad taste in my mouth, that's so "NOT" what Penn and Teller that I've grown to love are all about, I guess this is the early days, but still. Penn says in no uncertain terms regarding the "sawing the woman in half" bit, that any perceived act of violence without the explicit tell that it's fake is MORALLY WRONG. He makes that point again and again. So it's totally out of character to see this bit when diving back into their history, I'm glad to see they've grown out of it, and perhaps it was a turning point for them at the time. For the record I believe the guy and the girl were both actors, and he's shown how to do a trap door routine in the "Blast off" trick, and also more similar the Teller pushed into the water with sharks with the trap door fully filmed during the trick on their special "Off the Deep end", which is MUCH better than this tat.
@Coinmancer6 жыл бұрын
Boomyak I’m pretty sure the title of the show gives you a clue that there may be acts of violence or other unsightly things. It’s called ‘the unpleasant world of penn and teller’ not the ‘random magic show of penn and teller’ so people know what they are in for.
