Vingroup is the largest real estate company in Vietnam, and they're changing the country's landscape with their new resorts. We'll explore their history, their resorts in Vietnam, and how their work is helping to shape Vietnam's new identity.
This Discover tour of Vietnam is part travel review, part look at the fabric of a nation and part corporate profile - with all 3 elements being integral to each other.
Vingroup is the largest corporation in Vietnam and is responsible for about 2% of the nation's Gross Domestic Product. They are involved in many sectors of the economy including hotels, resorts, amusements, residential and commercial development as well as manufacturing. As part of my Discovering Vietnam journey we stayed at Vinpearl resorts, toured the Vinfast auto manufacturing facility, spent time in Hanoi seeing how Vinhomes builds massive residential and commerical ecosystems and integrates all of them together.
Vietnam is a rising economic power in southeast Asia. With annual growth averaging over 6.5% it is becoming an influential economic player on the world stage.
In my adventures while discovering Vietnam, I saw how Vietnam's unique history and way of living have laid the foundation for such quick and rapid change. And in so doing, Vingroup has integrated its many areas of business into the countries way of life that to a western outsider is fascinating to observe and understand.

The residential aspect of the video really caught my eye. I really like the design of the gated communities. They remind me of the developments in the Middle East, however they look like better quality. The manufacturing plant looks amazing.

I certainly can see where you're coming from in the comparison. Places like Dubai exploded with their development quickly, and some of the singular vision that led Dubai's rapid growth could have parallels in Vietnam with Vingroup. Interesting observation. Thanks for sharing Jaqueline!
