I was at Idlers Tsukuba last weekend and watched the man himself race door to door with the best. Unfortunately he made an error while Battling the 993 running in 2nd behind YF S15 and crashed..it's repairable thankfully

rough has been around since the 80s as "ROUGH CIRCUS CLUB" & "ROUGH STYLE". at that time, nakai made his debut in the first round of the 1990 doricon gp with his student, ryuchiro miki, however they didn't do very good. they would continue practicing on the street & in the doricon gp (as seen here at wagakuni touge in tsukuba, nakai's is the gold levin which he used in the 1991 final round kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4XXemejoN6Yhrc ) under the name rough circus club until 1992, where rough circus was dropped for ROUGH UNITY. it was at this time nakai both drifted at a circuit other than yamanashi for the first time and entered without miki, and his practice finally paid off. at the final round of the doricon gp, he finally took home the first place trophy. at that event, his car wasn't able to shift from 3rd to 2nd, so he went with a "3rd>1st>2nd" shifting style, which is why his car revs super high in videos from that event. even back then, nakai was an idol to many, as he was the idol of the inventor of manji drifting, takeshi watanabe. he's also the one who named him "manji-san" which technically means nakai is the reason manji is called that today. nakai would continue entering various events such as ikaten and doricon throughout 1993, until the name was once again changed, this time from ROUGH UNITY to ROUGH WORLD in 1994. around 1996, nakai would begin tuning porches under the name RAUH WELT. (however i'm not too into porsches so i won't talk too much about that). the name ROUGH WORLD stuck, and nakai would keep drifting under that name. throughout that ordeal, a few subsidiaries of the rough crew had spawned such as ROUGH JAPAN (katsumi inagaki's own lineup of "rough" drivers, founded in 1998), VIOLENCE WORLD (i don't know much about it), and ROUGH MARIO which was asamoto and tanaka's duo in BM cup. notes: 2:30 this was far from his first media appearance as his debut was in the 1990 CARBOY doricon gp, at that time he was already a legend of carboy. this event wasn't carboy, it was a special AE86 ikaten event hosted by OPTION. nakai was a trendsetter as he had birthed many trends such as matte paint, wide offset and camber (known as onikyan or demon camber). this is the "rough" style and was very popular in yamanashi & ibaraki. while not a rough driver, yoichi imamura from yamanshi's team ICBM described the vision well. "a few dents and kisses are the best drift specifications! the dirtier a drift car is, the cooler it gets!" sorry for this unorganized wall of text, i'm a nerd and i don't know how to format

not sure if you know, but there are no narrow body 930s 930s were all turbo and widebody, and the first gen 911 (911) co-existed with the 930, they had the bigger bumpers and smaller hood from the 930, but they were 911s so the stella artois is a 911, not a 930
