I would never. Vertical form factor is basically only for GB/GBA games. You could spend 100 dollars for a really good GBA emulator or you could buy a steam deck or any number of other things for $450.

That price is a doozy😅. It does seem attractive at the early bird price, but it wouldn't be my first choice either. At retail. Thanks for watching.

Literally. As far as emulators go I feel like it’s already a niche market. I just don’t get who they are targeting with a vertical handheld with a trackpad and 1 analog stick with only 1 set of bumpers lol

@@p7hustler I think they are aiming at a kind of "Premium" vertical handheld niche for those that could afford it. There design choices are a bit of a mystery to me too but I guess that trackpad is included to kind of set it apart from other verticals. I am very interested to hear what reviewers have to say about it when it starts shipping and they get hands on. Thanks watching

Wth are you on about. Vertical form factor is great for most retro emulation: arcade/mame, nes/snes, sega, neogeo, Pico 8 etc.

No Audio Jack is really bad. Also I been researching and no information on it's Materials.. so it might be Plastic, which is so bad for this price tbh.

Yep unfortunately. You will probably see that more and more going forward with Android based handhelds especially. A lot of of phones removing the 3.5 inch jack aswell. it does have bluetooth and being android based you should be able to connect wirelles headsets or buds so it wouldn't stop me from buying. Honestly don't know when last i used wired in ears on my phone. I ditched them a while back for wireless options as these are really afordable nowadays and the cable on the wired ones continuously gets caugt on stuff when i walk around. The plastic is bad for the price but it could help with slowing heat transfer. heat will be much more noticeable on an alimium shell. The retail price is all round bad for me though, i wouldn't mind possibly getting it at the earlybird price but i am very wary of buying something that i have not seen some hands on reviews on. On the flip side the Retail price is too expensive for me. Would rather go for the Odin 2 at that price. All this is theoretical though. Coukdn't afford any of these even if i wanted to at the moment lol. Thanks for whatcing

@@TheTechUpdate-ui1fh Thanks for the detailed and wholesome reply, and for the amazing video as well. as for headphone jack i own V-Moda Headset, i used it on a moded GBA with Sound amp (Jayboy Mods) and the Result was Ultra Shocking Quality and Fun. Wireless wont be the same as Wired in the right setup. as for Plastic i dont like the cheap feeling, i like Premium Touch. Especially that some GBA mod feesl worse than the Original, it takes away from the experience if anything. i have Analouge Aluminum on the way and i am excited for it. i wish this one was more premium tbh.

@@Wulong44 it's a pleasure. With such a headset I can understand you wanting a 3.5mm jack. I'm sure aluminium does feel brilliant😁👍 Let me know what the Analogue is like when you get it

Agreed except for the plastic part, depending on the kind plastic can be soft and or brittle to hard and durable, ABS plastic isnt that expensive too.

Good stuff. Do you like it? What kind of game cartridgesdo you have for it?

This is better. Analogue is only good for 8-16 bit games.
