Well, this is it. The end of the road is in plain sight for everyone to see. But the driver is still hitting that gas pedal as if there was no tomorrow. The game of chicken is on, but this is one that the West cannot win.
The rise of China is the greatest existential threat to the USA in its history not because of any security, economic, or epistemic dangers, but purely because it invalidates the self-conception of the Washington elites that equate themselves with "the world." The sheer fact that there is a counter concept on the global stage that is successfully rivalling the US in all spheres-from the economy, to tech, to culture, and foreign influence-invalidates its hegemony and thereby the core of the modern self-image of the USA.
Listen to the explanations of Professor Michael Brenner, who explores both, US relations with China and Russia to make sense of the suicidal policies that the US is taking toward its rivals.
Turns out that hegemony-once the mindset has firmly taken root-undermines the very foundations upon which it is built. Or, put differently, success is blinding the US into defeat.

The US hegemony is just another form of colonialism. The local people must elect a president that follows the American orders. Obviously, these presidents serve American interests and are nothing but another form of colonial governors selected by the US, of course, except they are local in nationality and not sent by the US from the US like the British used to do. Naturally, these presidents need American military support and protection, and of course, democracy, defined as election and voting, and the US army bases are necessary to provide an appearance that those presidents are chosen by the local people.

They threatening the dollar because China is growing their economy in Africa and South America, all over the world and in such a pace that USA is falling behind and China will be bigger than USA in military capability around year 2030. It's a government and national bank issue for USA, the ordinary people can adapt to this unless US government tries to make life miserable for their society as a passive aggressive respons to the fact they are losing power.

They are challenging the dollar's dominance because China's economic influence is expanding rapidly in Africa, South America, and globally, outpacing the U.S. By around 2030, China's military might is projected to surpass that of the U.S. This is a significant concern for the U.S. government and national banks. Ordinary people could adapt to these changes, unless the U.S. government responds by imposing measures that negatively impact society in a passive-aggressive bid to maintain power.

Not quite so. Yes, China caught the draft when Obama says pivot east but remains optimistic of collaboration with the US. China was aiding the US in the 2008 financial crisis by buying up record levels of US treasuries. Even Trump welcomed Xi but the mood changed quickly and quite unexpectedly catching China by surprise. Since then, China double down building up militarily and selling off treasuries as sanction against China looms.

"What would I be if I were less than a black guy?" - this phrase, which Gene Hackman's character attributes to his father in the film Mississippi Burning (1988) secretly haunts and dominates the consciousness of the American elite now and totally guides US foreign policy. The modern version of it is: "What would we be if we were less than a Russian or a Chinese?" In the context of the film, FBI Agent Rupert Anderson refers to the violent and shameful way his father used to prevent his black neighbor from prospering. In the context that interests us here, the violent and shameful way used by the USA to humiliate Russia (imagining that it could be defeated by Ukraine) and to impede the development of China (microchip war, pressure on the Netherlands not to sell EUV lithography machines to the Chinese and so on), allows us to realize the mediocrity and racism that dominates mainstream American thought is not qualitatively different from that which is problematized in the film Mississippi Burning (1988). The US government elite can now be described as a crazy gang of jealous KKK knights. And they are galloping not to impose their hegemony but to be destroyed. It is impossible for other people not to laugh at Americans.

Unlike the US which is engaged in endless wars of aggression around the world in their obsession with world dominance, China's phenomenal progress in a short period of time is both remarkable n peaceful n shows that a country need not engage in such deplorable activities in order to prosper. One of the best result of China's rise is that they have managed to reduce the ability of those imperialist western countries to continue with their ruthless exploitation n plunder of the poor n weak but resources rich nations. This is the reason for their antogonism towards China

The rise of China has shown the world a peaceful and harmonious path to the coexistence of human beings. It certainly broke the old Western Christian's 800 over years of hegemonic power of war wagging, colonizing, lootings, exploiting, killings and enslaving in order to gain wealth and progress. It also brought to light the evils of Christianity and Islamic hegemonic using soft and hard power of hypocrite god loving dogmas to spread hatred, wagging wars, conquer, subdued and destroyed innocent people which resulted in endless bloodshed in the entire history. The human race needs to wake up, there is a peaceful and harmonious way to coexist together without imposing the strength of military, religious, ideological, wealth & political position to exert hegemonic superiority on others. There's also a way to end corruption, falsehood, rent seeking, evil doing and hypocrisy in human society. Although China is not perfect but it has placed the highest importance and has successfully and continued implementing countless measures to curb and overcome most unwholesome human problems that create conflict, killing, chaos and disharmony. Amongst the greatest works were the anti exploitation, anti dishonesty, anti inefficiency, anti corruption, anti theft, anti unfriendly, anti hatred, anti falsehood, anti news fabrication measures etc which have shown extremely good results and achieved leaps and bounds progress ahead that no other nation is capable of doing in history. Please STOP! if you cannot accept this fact, you could be full of hatred against China because you didn't know that you have been brainwashed by your news media for decades. Just book the next air ticket and visit China personally to find out everything you have been wrongly made to believe. You could only realise the truth from your own experience of reality and not believe what your government wants you to believe.❤❤❤

After China threw the Mongols out, by default it acquired Tibet, Outer Mongolia and Manchuria. China was no longer an empire when they went to their Tibetan province to remove the Buddhist enslavement of the lay population. Tibetans are much happier now and looking forward to the future;;;; Go visit Lahsa now, you won't believe what you'll see after you arrive in a bullet train. China allows Taiwan to govern themselves with whatever system they wish, just as long as they dont declare the island a different country. Taiwan is a Chinese Province. The KMT, a Chinese political party fighting the PRC, lost the Chinese civil war struggle in 1949 as they went to find refuge in the island of Formosa, now Taiwan. The SCS state of affairs will resolve itself through negotiation, no war is necessary. The USA needs to not meddle in these affairs. It is time to go home and handle its own requirements and issues. The US needs to fix Hawaii homelessness, the Native American issues, the homeless in all the southern cities, the national debt, failing GDP, political incompetence, failing education, health system, especially mental health, vaccine deaths, and obesity,... etc etc etc

What is the basis that formulate USA's belief that it is 'well intentioned, being moral, creating more good' etc., I heard the staying apart from the old world part but do understand how this lead to the belief USA is saving the world from evil.

The problem is that the United States started a meaningless conflict between European peoples over a country that took the territory of Russia, Ukraine was not 800, it existed only as Kievan Rus until the 13th century, and after that this territory was divided between the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Russia and the Ottoman Empire of the United States it is necessary to be a leader in the development of European peoples and unite them, and not create conflicts. If US politicians were smarter, they would have long ago created a world institution for managing human development from the UN, and not an arena for meaningless debates. It is also necessary at the UN to create a global financial banking system and institutions for financial supervision, uniting the dollar, euro and other currencies, making a single world currency and uniting humanity. The UN does not take on this mission and alliances based on interests appear; for the members of these unions, the political will of the union is more important than the decisions of the UN. That is why the UN organization is so weak and ineffective. China has already grown from 600 terawatts to more than 10,000 terawatts of electricity consumption in 30 years from 1991-2022. The US economy has 4600 terawatts of electricity consumption...and in 1991 there were 3200 terawatts of electricity consumption. If this continues, China will have 20,000 terawatts of electricity consumption and 100-120 trillion US dollars in GDP by 2050-2070. The problem is that if China has a military budget of 5-7%, this will mean that China allocates 5-7 trillion US dollars a year for military spending.. such growth will give impetus to the development of technology.. China will be the new communist hegemon of the planet.
