This is a good tool kit. But, if anyone here is on a slow internet connection and/or has limited free disk space, you need to know that this ISO is a 3.9 GB download. Some feedback for you: You spent way too much time on installing Rufus (I understand that it is helpful to show how to install the WinPE ISO). But, as has been mentioned by a number of others here, nowhere near enough time spent on describing the most useful tools in this ISO. I am suggesting that you do make another, longer video describing the best utilities on this ISO. Also, a link in the decryption to directly download Sergei Strelec's WinPE would have saved us time, and potentially saved others from a potential virus infected version of it from a simple Google search. It's Russian and it's a password protected download which is extremely suspicious as you can't scan a password protected file. Also anything promoting Russian software is a risk as their taxes goes directly to the Russian terrorist state.

Hey Ben, I watch your channel all the time and I always find it to be useful. I have a system that's encrypted with Veracrypt. Would any USB solution like this work to diagnose problems or would the drive have to be decrypted first?

To fix windows problem, you would need to decrypted drive first

@@Britec09 Yeah that's what I figured. I wonder if I could even image an encrypted drive. Encryption becomes a problem when it comes to accessing the drive offline and the only way to decrypt a drive is if it's working. In the case of mechanical failure you're just screwed. Password resets, data recovery, all impossible. There is a Verycrypt rescue disk that will allow drive decryption for such purposes though.

@@jTheDigitalDoctor You can image an encrypted disk. It creates an encrypted image. The disk can be decrypted offline so long as you use the same tool that was used to encrypt it, or at least another tool that supports the same encryption method. You'll need an offline copy of the encryption key.

Majorgeeks (ancient and reputable) has hosted it for a while. I keep a variety of .isos on a Ventoy USB and this is a favorite. I keep Linux .isos too so in case one doesn't detect wifi drivers I can use the other to copy data to online storage.

Why is Strelec's download password protected? As implied by Britec around the @4:00 mark, that's sometimes flagged by antivirus programs for good reason. I'm not installing any program that's password protected as that's how viruses are installed.

sanman187 I'm just Playing with mine and I'm doing the same thing I hate windows 11 MIcrosoft has gone insane and it just pisses me off that I had to register my new computer just to log into the system. I'm not sure if you can hand off the winPE to win10 but you can use it to format the disk then instal win10 from the ventoy I am almost thinking of doing a dual boot but maybe not I really hate the user interface because it is so washed out. I have been using Shell and i just discovered a new app called Aero tweaker which has a couple hundred settings i like the file manager to look like WinXP because it has lots of contrast and you can adjust the fonts to BIG because I'm so blind look for that or look at the video here on youtube where they show what it does. cheers

@@sanman187- I'm not ready to pull my new machine down yet but I suggest when you do the machine your working on get the windows key for the switch it will save a hastle and it should work because windows reads the MB serial from the bios. There is no full windows 10 on strelicks disk, so you need a windows 10 copy if you don't have one there is a MS home one for free at microsoft thats what i'm using, I'm just a squid so I just bungle around till i get stuff to work but I think this should work Ive not worked with windows 10 too much but It may be possible to try a dual boot system with 11 and 10 ive done them with win10 & win7 and it worked fine. I already had my win10 in the ventoy along with streiliks Iso. Its was too hard to read for me but got the impression that streilks kit might build what ever version you want but I'm 74 I might pass on before i cold read them instructions.
