Interesting contribution, Cactus, thanks for posting. Nice to think that some 4 years later Greg would be playing bass on this song again, this time as the middle part of Humble Pie's "Rolling Stone". Ah, the mystery of recognition.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, CACTUS. Excellent footage and sound of mike harrison, luther grosvenor(aka ariel bender),mike kellie, and the late great greg ridley. tremendous crowd reaction to the band, especially for luther's solos. thanks for putting this rare gem from 44 years ago on youtube. tremendous.

Camera operator seemed to think Greg Ridley was playing lead guitar.

Greg Ridley, Luther Grosvenor, Mike Harrison and Keith Emerson in the same band? Unbelievable! Can only be called VIPS!

Some good other bands were connected to this brief line up, apart from Spooky Tooth, also Humble Pie, Mott The Hoople and The Only Ones.....

Ever notice back in those days the camera operators didn't know how to film a band from a musicians perspective. They always zoomed in on the singer when the lead player was playing, or the bass player when the lead singer was singing, or the bass players fingers when the lead player was playing a lead.

It was chronic back then! Especially for TV appearances, but live concert footage too. Which is why when you do get well-filmed live concerts from the 60s, like Monterey Pop, it's such a relief.

Would the original uploader (thank you) or any fans be able to upload the other song audio and or video that was recorded from the June 1st, 1967 performance Stagger Lee? For sure audio exists as My Babe and Stagger Lee were released as part of the- VARIOUS ARTISTS - Festival 67 - Live In Paris (2002) CD. Thanks so much for anyone that can assist!

Only Problem with this is when Luther plays his solo there's no footage of him. Very bad camera man?

does any one have the other video .....with Emerson ?
V.P. came to Budapest with the Spences Davis Group in the summer of 1967. They were better than the S.D.G. without Steve Winwood

Was Keith Emerson still in the Band then?

I don’t think so. I don’t hear the organ. There’s another version of this song on KZbin with Keith doing an organ solo instead of Luther doing a guitar solo.
