All Veterans should unite to fight it! I am not justifying criminality but its scientifically supported certain things that happen in service negatively impact mental health and can lead to violent and other crime. No matter where you look the mental health industry largely misses the mark and even law enforcement and the courts do. Should someone be losing their disability payment because of mental health damage created in the line of duty? I don't even believe they belong in prison!! I believe they belong in an appropriate mental health facility. I have been fighting the VA for PTSD and keep getting turned down even though they comp me for an injury caused by an assault that happened in the military. Just provided them two letters supporting it from two different counselors from outside the VA. Still denied! Our system is broken!

I went to the VA and they kept me overnight then released me after 24 hrs. and told me to take vitamins and call the AA thing. Well.. I wasn't happy so I went home, got drunk and drunk dialed the Washington DC VA line. I think a couple times that night, I can't really remember but I tell you the next day I had all kinds of help. The new administration is signaling cuts in government and a possible Reduction in Federal Workforce. Veterans / Disabled Veterans have certain protections during a RIF according to OPM guidelines. I would love to see a video that explore how 30% or mpre disabled Vet status or jusr Vet status factors into a federal agency RIF. What rights Disabled Vets have and what to do if you think your RIF rights as a disabled Vet were violated.

When you get out of prison your benefits are not automatically reinstated; they will call you in for a C&P exam and attempt to reduce your rating. If you stay out of trouble and deal well with fellow inmates the VA will say your PTSD is better. Or your knee is better, the prison record says you exercised in the yard without problems. Any reason to reduce.

That's what social security already does, doing some research about incarcerated veterans ,prisons do not have veteran Drs,and do not transport veterans out to veteran Drs ,reason they don't have veteran Dr and services for veterans ,is that the prison looses money ,in other words the prison looses money because there own prison Drs don't make the money, themselves .

@@jimmyjackson2361 well thinking about it ,it brings me to this ,there's a reason we have veteran Drs and civilian Drs,veteran Drs are veterans themselves ,and understand the inner workings of a veteran and the vigerous training and experience a veteran had to go through, where a civilian Dr don't know or understand that level of understanding ,a veteran goes through big changes ,because they been through the experience themselves, veterans have a whole different mind set,not only physically but mentally as well,, civilian Drs don't know or understand or have that deep connection that veterans have a common connection with ,just like a civilian goes to a civilian Dr not a veteran Dr. The connections not there, this is why veterans have veteran Drs ,and civilians have civilian Drs ,now physically id say there the same ,but mental Drs I'd say are different ,because of the training and experience between a civilian and a veteran, when you inter the military ,you are reconditioned, the civilian way of thinking is stripped and your built back up ,thus changing your whole being so to say ,okay now saying that, would a person go to a veterinary Dr for a human treatment ,no there two different Drs ,one deals with animals and the other deals with people ,the same goes for a military Dr vs a civilian Dr ,now let's get to the actual subject ,the cutting of a benifit ,I don't think ,anyone's benefits should be cut ,just because your incarcerated doesn't make you not a veteran anymore no more than it makes someone not a disabled person any more,it's still your benifit ,and just because your incarcerated don't mean your family's bills stopped ,and if you have a family should they be cut off from the income ,because of an incarceration the binifit didn't have anything to do with an incarceration ,only the person that became incarcerated ,a person paid the price already being either through social security or service to the country ,and in some cases both ,because a veteran after service held a civilian job ,this paid into the SSA system ,that money paid into a system or earned through military service is your money you paid in ,it's not there's ,so who are they to say your incarcerated so we will cut you off from YOUR money,or cut you off from Spelized Dr ,because your incarcerated, sure you still have a civilian Dr while in incarcerated, but a veteran is cut off from his VA Dr ,because prisons don't have veteran Drs,for veterans ,I'm not saying veterans should be treated differently because of prison ,it's not that at all ,it's the taking away of money you worked for or served for ,it had nothing to do with why you was incarcerated to start with ,only the crime that was committed landed a person in prison ,not the money ,that money being social security or COMPINSATION ,the very money that sustains your family while your incarcerated ,your family isn't incarcerated only the person that landed in prison ,so why would or should a persons family be punished by taking away the money that's depended on ,through social security or COMPINSATION.
