Behind every problem, every lesson, every threshold of your leadership is a great question that needs to be answered. But, as John reminds us in this lesson, you only get answers to the questions you ask. In this episode, John Maxwell is going to share how he learned that he needed to start asking more questions early in his leadership, and he explains what leadership looks like with and without great questions.
After John’s lesson, Mark Cole and Chris Goede offer some application and discuss how asking questions helps us become better leaders, and they share the questions they’re asking themselves right now in their own growth journeys.
Our BONUS resource for this episode is the Value of Questions Worksheet, which includes fill-in-the-blank notes from John’s teaching. You can download the worksheet by visiting MaxwellPodcast.com/Value and clicking “Download the Bonus Resource.”

Excellent podcast! In my leadership journey, I’ve been taught that “LISTEN” and “SILENT” have the same letters for a reason. Listening is an art and once we are aware and practice it enough, we’ll hopefully understand that being silent has a profound impact. Listen to HEAR others, not to reply. John Maxwell has and will always be the GOAT 🐐.

Long time podcast listener. First time seeing you guys on KZbin. I enjoy the weekly content and the downloadable supplemental material is very helpful. I am a 28-year law enforcement leader. I have been learning leadership lessons from John, and several others for years now. I have attended some great leadership training from universities, the FBI, and others. I will tell you undoubtedly that leadership is very important in my profession. Never forget that the material you are presenting does not just relate to private businesses. It also has tremendous relatedness and impacts on government organizations. Law enforcement needs leaders now more than ever. Continue to offer great content and we will continue to listen, learn and lead. Thank you, and have a great rest of your day. Shane Guyant

Is it really true that everybody can teach you something ? Have you ever run into someone so stupid that they behave on an infantile level what could they possibly teach you? Would you follow that advice? Where would it lead you? Is this how you wanna live your life? Isn't this just behaving a bit foolishly?
