We live in a society which seeks answers, but do we need more focus on asking the right questions? It’s something Andrew ponders each day, both in his professional life and beyond the workplace. He questions the wisdom of a tick-box world which asks only, ‘yes or no?’ ‘In or out?’ If you’re curious to know more, it seems you’ve got the right mind-set.
Andrew Vincent is the co-owner of a market research consultancy, examiner for the UK Market Research Society’s postgraduate level Diploma in Market and Social Research Practice, and visiting lecturer at the IE University in Madrid.
This talk was delivered at TEDxBollington on 16 June 2019 and was curated by Sara Knowles. The theme was ‘The Art of Connection’ and is inspired by Bollington’s community - it draws upon how we connect with others, the landscape, our past, present and future. Connections and contrasts inspire and define us as a community. Our speakers convey the art of connection through diverse forms such as communication, design, science, mindfulness, mental health and wellbeing through to the environment and technology.
Andrew has never lost his childhood inquisitiveness and has spent much of his 30-year career being paid to ask questions for a wide range of commercial and not for profit clients across many different subjects (retailers, charities, medical technologies, etc). In his talk he will help us to discover the art of asking the right questions and how this can enrich our personal and professional lives. He is the co-owner of a market research consultancy. He is an examiner for the UK Market Research Society’s postgraduate level Diploma in Market and Social Research Practice and is also a visiting lecturer at the IE University in Madrid where he teaches on their Masters in Market Research and Consumer Behaviour. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

“Questions and Ideas, Don’t Forget them,” …The title of a journal that encourages you to keep the journal with you, and particularly in places where ideas seem to come to you. This is another journal by this author that I use consistently (fairly consistently anyway) You could probably create your own journal or notebook to accomplish this, but I like how this one is laid out.

Harsh, direct me please to something you’ve posted that has value and I’ll critically judge your post. I think it’s very naive to simply suggest that this talk offers nothing.
