Vampire or Human , he's still the same Stefan that i grow to love. He's so touching . Paul is really great. And PS : i think in that moment , the person that he really needed was Elena. These two had this bond , the capicity to understand the pain of the other and find the right word to console each other. And that's why i love Stelena , they were not just lovers but bestfriend first and foremost.

This scene is so beautifully done. You can see the vulnerability as he is unable to break out of handcuffs he could've torn apart like tissue paper 24 hours before and the disbelief at seeing the injuries attempting to do so left on his arms. But what really sells it is when he sees his daylight ring. The longing, the guilt. Just 24 hours before he was immortal and powerful. Very little could've touched him. Now, he's just a human who's slaughtered thousands. His actions have cost him everything and he knows it.

Julie Plec purposefully tried to make Bonnie fans turn on Stefan so we could be in support of Delena. Nope. Fuck that. Delena was based only on sexual chemistry, while confusing it for love. Damon and Bonnie were meant for each other, and they balanced each other perfectly. Plec stole that away from them, then tarnished Stefan to the point of irredeemable, so we could be okay with the bullshit ending. Bonnie didn't have to be fucked over to get her powers back. She's a Bennett witch. Her magic would have come back because she came from the first witch's bloodline and had generations of ancient power to pull from. Love is her trigger. The two times she got them back on her own was when the men she loved were in danger, and she felt a strong will to protect them. Damon and Enzo. With Enzo, he could have been just threatened by Stefan, and she could have gotten her power back. Plec wanted to cause more pain on Bonnie because she hates the character/actress Kat too. Bonnie could have put Stefan down and got him back to mystic falls. It was a bullshit set up. Damon could have stabbed Katherine when Bonnie sent the fires back, and tossed her body in the flames. Or super speed out the way. Elena should have woken up to no one. Just go live her life in the medical field and be happy as a human, while Caroline and Ric got together and raised their girls. Stefan should have just left Mystic falls, and only show up to check in on Damon and Bonnie and the generation of their kids. Enzo leaves, even though he deserved to be loved too, but he knew that Bonnie's heart was always truly Damon's. I gave zero fucks about Elena, Caroline or Jeremy after Bonnie suffered for them and she got nothing to show for it. I only stayed watching after season 3 to see if she would get a happy ending, and finally be loved by someone. Julie Plec fucked that up royally. She didn't care what happened to her because she wasn't her fave. When you don't care about the characters you write about, it shows.

here is what I came up with: When the show started (season 1) Bonnie was 17. now if we say, every season is one year she would be 23 in season 7. But then comes the "3 years from now" thing, making her 26. And one year later, now season 8, would mean she is 27 years old now. Stefan is still 17. Making her 10 years older than him, and 9 years older than Caroline.

season 1-3 was just one year. They stated junior year in the first season and senior year in the third so it was one full year. Making them all 18 by season 3. Season 4 was 1 1/2 years in. Season 5 was a full two years going into 2 1/2 years making them 19. Season 6 was a few months later making it now 3 years in total and they are all now 20. Season 7 makes it 4, they were 21 in the beginning and 24 after the 3 years. Season 8 they were 25, well the non vampire characters
