The saddest thing about all of this is that Bonnie can still see Enzo but just in her mind. Thats was the most upsetting thing about this. I think Bonnie Bennett deserve a spin off. We never really got a storyline of the Bennett bloodline. It would be cool seeing her in a new love interest, maybe pregnant. More powerful than ever.

The only person that loved Bonnie above anyone or anything else was Enzo and Stefan ripped his heart out and Bonnie's supposed to be like "No biggie. Andrew Cannon & I wish they spent more time on him - they left lots of holes in his backstory. All that torture seems to have made him a very decent, reflective and mentally strong person. He just blustered his way onto the scene because that's what Mystic Falls brings out in people...but even though he was a spazz you could always see the better nature a bit. He evolved into himself when he got away from the influence of the Salvabros and all the chaos they bring.

Yes, I completely agree. Also, his friendship seems really valuable, he'd do anything for them. The writers messed that part up about him, notably in season 6 and the first half of season 7 where he was just a lost puppy, who was doing the most random crap fucking people over.

Andrew Cannon Totally. But I chalked that up to his social awkwardness - he really had no idea how to be a part of society but what we know of his backstory does justify that very understandably. He was definitely one awkward puppy of a vampire. Then he was garbage at picking role models (their influence showed in his behavior) and allies...until Bonnie. My only real regret re: Enzo is that they are obvz going to end the show never giving him any answers about his family, which he nonsensically seemed to stop caring to look into (and when he was still alive, no one even acknowledged that the Armory ought to belong to him)!

Oh Enzo,we miss you so much!! 😩 His growth and amazing character development shows in this moment. I remember when he was once that person attempting to kill Elena. Of course he wishes he was still alive and could be with his love, but he understands Stefan's situation. However Bonnie needed to give Stefan the cold shoulder and that door in his face to ease her hurting. She also needs time to actually want to forgive him. The smile that appears on her face every time Enzo appears melts my heart. 😭 Soooo many people on the show have died and came back( we are welcoming someone back next week) why not Enzo?!! 😭

Bonnie has every right not to forgive Stefan (and this is coming from a Stefan stan). Realistically, it’s going to be very hard for her to forgive Stefan and it’s most likely going to take some time. However, I can’t use that against Stefan. He was under the control of Cade & Sybil, practically the servant of the devil. If he had a choice, he would not have killed Enzo. Considering Stefan was not himself, I can’t use Enzo’s murder against him. Just like I can’t use Tyler’s murder against Damon (despite me being a hardcore anti Damon). Basically, I can’t hold anyone whose killed with their humanity off or whilst being under the influence of blood accountable for their actions considering they were NOT in the right state of mind and they weren’t themselves. That being said though, I’m not saying Bonnie should forgive him. From a realistic standpoint, she’s not going to easily forgive him and that’s completely understandable. But what people need to realise is that everything Stefan did was beyond his control - he had no choice.

Yeah, because Bonnie meant something to Enzo - she was practically the love of his life. Enzo’s humanity was ON when Sybil tried to look into his mind right at the beginning of season 8. Stefan’s was off at the time where he killed Enzo, so he didn’t have a choice. He wouldn’t have found the need to fight off Sybil’s control over him - he had no feelings, he was a ripper. You just completely missed my entire point, how would he have possibly had a choice if his humanity was off?? We know from Season 3 that Stefan is capable of fighting compulsion (when Klaus compelled him to feed on Elena and he refused to). The difference between that moment and this one is that his humanity was on when he fought Klaus’ compulsion, whereas this time, it’s very clearly off.

Though I am a stefan stan I will say bonnie shouldn’t have to forgive him even if enzo asked her too. It’s understandable, she was grieving and saw a no humanity stefan kill her lover. FYI: stefan was also under cade’s control and cade told him to kill anyone who was in his way, sadly enzo was collateral damage. Poor bonnie, she always has to be the one who gets everything taken away from. I can see how she was happy stefan would do anything everyday to make up for what he did to enzo even if it was something small, he was willing to try and earn her forgiveness. That is the difference between stefan and half the vampires, despite what he did he was still going to do anything to earn her forgiveness.

Because at this point Enzo was the person Bonnie loved most and concerning her Grams dying that was both Damon And Stefans faults even if indirectly and concerning turning her Mom into a Vampire both Damon And Stefan played a part in that Damon just did the deed but Stefan allowed it to happen and was originally going to be the one to do the move yeah. Concerning Jeremy both Damon And Stefan have treated him badly on separate occasions Damon for killing Jeremy albeit unbeknownst of Jer having his ring on as well as helping Katherine kidnap Jeremy to threaten his life to get answers from Anna. And the third time he helped Enzo kidnap and threatened Jeremy's life. Now for Stefan concerning Jer he slapped him in front of Elena when he could of took a softer approach. He allowed Jer to be a bargaining chip in his war with Klaus allowing Jer to become killed without his ring on. And when Stefan gave Jer little words but to become a hunter against his will yeah.

I think a lot of people don't get this scene, no one is saying bonnie has to forgive stefan or that she has to be the understanding one, stefan said "I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't try" and he's referring to apologizing/atoning, he's not saying she should forgive him for what he did, he's saying that after all the horrible things he did the only way to stop the guilt, the despair and all the other negative thoughts and emotions from completely consuming him, he has to at least try to apologize, at least try to atone, at least try to makeup for it, even if she can't forgive him, and enzo is on the other side of it he's saying that while she is not obligated to forgive him, she should, not for his sake but for her own, carrying all that hatred and negativity doesn't just hurt stefan it hurts herself too because she is the one that has to live with that bottled up inside her and she can never truly be happy or at peace with all that negativity brewing right under the surface, plus just a few season ago enzo himself hated stefan and it completely consumed him he obsessed over it and made hating him his entire life, so he knows the results of holding on to hatred and anger and he doesn't want that for bonnie, so he's saying she should forgive him so that she can be happy, so that she can be at peace and so that she can eventually let go and move on

The rivalry between Stefan and Enzo was weird as hell. Enzo was jealous of Stefan and I can understand why, Stefan might have been the “better” vampire but he wasn’t necessarily good. I think Stefan hated Enzo because Snzo was low-key a better brother to Damon. This is who Enzo always was: good and caring person! Something like that he told Damon in prission cell, that he is lucky to have a brother. I'm so happy writers decided to go with this path for Enzo (except for his death 😡) because when you look at his character, he was only bad when he was with Damon or because he wanted his friendship so bad (and he wanted it because he was only one he knew, but treated him like shit). That's why I never liked Damon, he always treated people around him like exspendable goods, when he didn't needed them, he throws them away!
