This song is about the late 70’s early 80’s punk scene in huntington beach ca. the coocoos nest was a punk club and zubies was a cowboy bar. They shared a parking lot…. It did not go well!!!

The Coocoo's Nest was insane... I grew up in Santa Ana, used to bike down the Santa Ana River to Costa Mesa/Newport/Balboa. But some of the best "shows" in the early 80s was in a backyard of a house at Main St. And the 22 freeway... it is a parking lot now, across from CHOC.
