He's definitely an exception to the rule. My brother was a really bad alcoholic, but his Dr. would tell him the one good thing about it was that he only drank beer and beer has some nutritional value, whereas liquor is just straight poison. Just look at Bonham, Moon, Joplin, Morrison etc...yes they were on other shit too, but essentially it was the whiskey that got them in the end. And so young. The minute my brother switched to liquor (because it was easier to transport and hide) the decline was instant.

I’m a recovered heroin addict from New Jersey….I know tons of Heroin addicts that successfully quit. It was the friends that abused synthetic opiates that completely lost their shit afterwards. Pharmaceutical synthetic drugs like fetanyl, opama, dilaudid turned friends of mine into different people. They are so strong that they affect your neurological wiring for life if they are abused long term. These were the addicts that moved onto breaking into homes and violent crime.

I'm listening to this admitted to the hospital getting oxycodone 10mg every 4 hours and 1mg of morphine every 2 hours...... I find this episode hilarious to come out while I'm in the hospital on so much pain medication 😅😂

I was pretty sure that Tim's unfortunate friend from the Ship Station incident was the same one who was burned alive by his children for not buying a Ridge Wallet, until Tim said that the Ship Station guy killed his wife and children. Tim has really seen a lot.

As someone who was a HUGE fan of OxyContin and was prescribed for many years. The Sacklers didn’t make the rules, they just played the game better than everyone. Respect. Also Johnson & Johnson owned a huge Poppy Plantation on the island Tasmania where they genetically made a Poppy plant that was very potent, then sold the raw opium to every pharmaceutical company making semi synthetic pain killers.
