the name of the german pilot who saved the American B17 crew was Franz Stigler. He was a german Bf 109 and Me 262 pilot during world war 2. at the time of the incident he was flying in the Bf 109 and he did not shoot the bomber down because of the damage to it and his commander had once said "if I ever see you shoot a man in a parachute, I will shoot you myself." in his mind in that situation even though they were not in parachutes they may as well have been, so he did not finish the job of shooting them down. the two pilots actually met many years later and became friends, staying in contact until their respective deaths, both in 2008.

Don't know how willing you are to do this but, maybe in the next campaign you could be a less mainstream faction like madalorians, the black sun, the empire of the hand, etc. We just haven't ever seen you do that yet and I think it would be awesome. The reports had slowed for a time, no new information really coming up except for business transactions between the Vigo on Mandalore and the riots caused by what was being called the Clan Ordo Uprising. However, he tapped R4-D5 on the head and asked him to start recording.* "Captain, it's me. I heard about the defeat at Corulag, it's awful to hear that we lost the Mandator to Captain Needa and his fleet, luckily things on Mandalore aren't equally as bad. I hope that everyone who fell in that battle gets a proper service on their homeworlds, I knew a lot of people on the Mandator from the Battle of Coruscant. It didn't take long for word to spread about Corulag being taken and Darth Vader himself being apprehended on Ithor. It looks like the Empire is starting to slip up, and with them coming crashing down I do believe the last threat will be the Black Sun. From what I can tell, everyone's scared of the invasion to come. Quaking in their boots and all with the fact that the New Republic is now one jump away, oh yeah they know about the attack on Taris. Hopefully you get here soon, this planet is long overdue for a liberation from the Liberation." in my opinion, its a good thing he lost the SSD. it was a liability. you bring that in and some support vessels, you will lose the support vessels while the SSD is ignored. you would suffer many more casualties with the SSD, i think.

I think Bilbringi shows it has no defensive structures or garrison so you can capture it just by dropping R2 onto it. In vanilla I'd just use them to swing around and snipe ungarrisoned planetsf or quick credits in vanilla.

The Geneva Convention does not cover acts of war done during conflict unless said act is either 1.) Unusually sadistic in nature or 2.) The enemy soldiers are surrendering, asfaik. The Stormtroopers were running, and many were firing, but none were surrendering. Therefore, it was within your rights as a commander to run them over (the death from being run-over is presumably quick enough, and cannot be considered unusually cruel in my opinion, but I'm not sure how it would actually hold up in court).

Just a quick note about those Imperial Shock Troopers that destroyed some of your tanks, their like the Empire's glass cannon infantry. You can only have five companies of them in the whole galaxy at a time, they have fairly low health, only come in two squads of six per company and cost a fortune, but they deal a ton of damage. They have blasters with a high rate of fire and grenade launchers that chew up armor and mow down infantry, but they die pretty fast once you start shooting back. It's actually really annoying when you try to use them and lose the whole company after about five of the twelve guys die, but use them well and they are extremely effective.

The Imps disabled the Hopebringer's comlink in the Battle of Corulag, so I could not send in a report. I did, however join the Y-wings in the main force. (First off Merry thanksgiving Second the insperation for these New logs is Light Runners comments on these videos they are great when we dont argue so have a nice read) New Log # 400 in something I guess im doing it im going to port Knowhere, the throne of the voidhound this is sure to be fun. you know i have been thinking back to when the jedi fell how i met my wife on mandolore and how i became a jedi smuggler doing anything for a credit. I actually enjoyed being a smuggler i was free i could travel the galaxy with my best freind Bawlbaar in the Ebon Hawk 2nd fastest ship in the galaxy. But i knew it woudnt last and it didnt, some new smuggler budies those who would eventually become the first of my spy network said that there where people wanting the republic back to no longer fear the empire. This is something i wanted, i missed the republic no matter how corrupt it felt good to see people cheer when the Ebon Hawk, flew it felt good to hear cheers when i ignited my lightsaber and the face of my enemy when they knew they messed up. So i joined started horizon squadron my rebel cell with bakers from my wifes clan Ralax and the wookees and the people who were done with the empire. At that time i met famous heros galen marrek or also known as Starkiller tought him a thing or 2 and others like luke, leia, hon, and others. But some where captured and i lost a freind but we destroyed the first deathstar. Then a clone of that freind helped us take kamino and this is where i became A grand spymaster. I started making connections and making a spynetwork. As years when on helped create the new jedi order and the republic. But now is where we put all we have made to the test, The black sun arent leting up with fighters and the IMPS are fighting back too. So now i must face my demons and give a little visit to little brother and port knowhere.

Taking Taris could work... but at the same time, I'd also move your other big fleet in the core area to secure the two planets north of Coruscant and the last Black Sun planet as well. It'd clear up you're flanks and you're not going to need to keep standing forces guarding them... which would then allow you to truly build up for the fight with the Black Sun around Mandalore and the Hapes without distraction in that region.

Who ever was in charge of that 2nd ground attack on Corulag needs to be demoted not only did they forget to bring in any infantry, but they also didn't move up their artillery to support their tanks till after losing a Sheila and having to fall back. Yes, Shack, the popups are distracting. Mostly because they take up a third of the screen! If you have a much smaller popup that would be fine, but right now it covers a huge amount of the action every time it appears.

Shack I have noticed in the Thrawn's revenge mod as well that the newer ships tend to suck when it comes to taking damage. In Thrawn's Revenge I tend to use MC80B Badgers and Dauntless cruisers as my combo of straight on attacks with the Badgers and the Dauntless(aka the Giant Minow's)on each side pounding the broad side of the enemies. The Nebula and MC90's tend to not be near as effective as the older ships.

Sneaky tip time, bombing runs and orbital bombardments do splash damage through the edge of planetary shields so can destroy the power generator on the edge, I have only tried this in Thrawn's Revenge so take it with a pinch of salt Captain
