“Every single day... I missed my parents so much that I could barely stand it.” -Rui (Demon Slayer) As the description says, here’s all 13 episodes compiled into one, easy-to-watch video. Enjoy! Also, if you notice any audio or visual errors in the video, please let me know. I’m not willing to reupload the whole thing again, but I’ll at least acknowledge the mistakes. Some notes/clarifications for reference: - 0:02 Damn it, I forgot to change that. Obviously, this DID end up becoming a full series, so please ignore that oversight! >_< - (See the individual episodes for their notes.) Also, here’s a list of scrapped ideas for TVP (reposted from the epilogue): - Originally, I was going to have Polonia ally with East Germany (obviously, to betray them later). I scrapped it because I realized that East Germany allying with Polonia wouldn’t really help them much, and also because Polonia probably wouldn’t forgive himself for allying with his family’s murderers, even temporarily. - The uprising that would have distracted the Soviets was originally going to be in the Baltics, not Chechnya. - There was going to be a greater focus on decolonization between episodes 3-5, which would have emphasized the Europeans’ unwillingness to let the colonies go. This was reduced in favor of expanding Poland’s backstory. - To be honest, I was conflicted on whether or not I’d have Israel ally with Poland. I was going to either have them ally from the start, or not at all (Israel didn’t want any more genocides happening to anyone). In the end, I came to a compromise for the final draft. - In my original outline, the Great Polish Scourge would have been in episode 6. In addition, I was going to have the Leningrad massacre (and Stalin’s execution) happen *before* the invasion of Germany. Then I decided that, just to drag out the Soviets’ suffering and fear, Polonia would keep them alive just to watch West and East Germany die. - At first, Ukraine wasn’t going to be independent at all; they would have been annexed, along with all of European Russia (without puppets) after the Scourge. - Austria would originally have been killed off earlier, during the Great Polish Scourge. However, I thought that killing off West Germany was already pushing the line, and I wanted to delay any potential NATO intervention to WW3. - Very early on in development, I had seriously considered using “Kamado Tanjiro no Uta” in the finale. Then I realized how ridiculous and unfitting that song would be. - For much of development, I was going to have Polonia attempt to invade Sweden in the finale. I actually scrapped that plan at the last-minute; while Sweden did screw Poland over during the Deluge (1648-1667), the leader himself had no personal reason to hate the Swedes (unlike the British, French, Germans, and Russians). Once again, I wanted to have personal motivations behind all of Polonia’s actions, rather than justifying it with “they invaded us X years ago”. - Originally, Polonia was going to die without even using any of their stolen nukes. Then after I saw Glitchtale Episode 8, I decided to ramp up the intensity of Polonia’s rage by having them threaten to nuke most of Europe. - Polonia’s family reunion was not in the original outline of TVP; that was a late addition, when I wanted to emphasize the “tragic side” of his character.

Remarkable personality traits, plot and music. Even fatherland Has none as much level as TVP. This made me feel true feelings I never felt in my live. I once thought Poland was the evil villain, but more i watched it, the more I realize he was the victim the entire time. Fantastic job, Protonic. 12/10

I remember back in the day I'd go on long tangents about how amazing some mapping series were, and I've long since stopped watching mapping. A few times though I've watched some of the movies you mappers have made to try and immerse myself again into that state of enjoyment. During my whole watch of this, I had so much to say, like I used to in my old comments I'm now embarrassed about - but just a like isn't enough for this one. If I even start complimenting this, I'll go on a tangent again about how I'm stunned at how great and amazing this is and point out how everything went well together, so I'll only thank you. So thank you. I remember all your previous series too where your Nova Polonia concept wasn't as refined as this one, and I used to respect you and still do. To come this way even further, and give me something better than some real films, I gotta thank you man. Thanks for letting me sit through this all in one go. Easy 9/10.

That was definitely an interesting take on Poland, and this period of history in general. There were a lot of things done right here: countries forgiving others for their predecessors' cruelties; the "unbelievability" of what goes on in one's mind when they go insane; the lengths that someone might go for their family, friends, and patriotism for their nation; and though it's probably messed up for me to say it, but some pretty epic wars that had massively dire consequences, right up until the end. There were some other bits I appreciated, like how America didn't lose his mind during the Cold War for once (which I've seen in a few other alternate series), or how the Soviet Union got absolutely obliterated by the ones that hate them the most, but I doubt that these could possibly compare to the deeper meanings throughout the story. As far as I know, only Korean Mapping has a series that is as powerful as this. Very well done, I must say. Very well done.

Vengeful Phoenix, 2020 History teacher: Nova Poland was a genocidal state, which killed millions of innocents Polish student: We've done it because everybody treated us like crap. We were just getting revenge.
@jfournerat1274 Жыл бұрын
It is far more complicated than that. Although its actions were detestable and were wrong it did have a tragic backstory as it had both suffered under countless oppression and had its loved ones killed by the Nazis while other countries just watched and did little to nothing to help them. Nova Poland became evil when instead of trying to seek justice by trying those who were responsible for their suffering or stood by and let them die and revealing what the Soviets had done they sought revenge and ultimately that revenge corrupted them and their morals which ultimately led to them killing millions of innocent people who had nothing to do with what had happened to them and causing several genocides. Ultimately Nova Poland is a story of someone who suffered through horrible loss but sought revenge which corrupted them and made them stoop to the level of those who had caused their suffering and made them no different from the very people who had done those horrible things to them. Nova Poland is a cuotanary tale on what can happen when you seek revenge for horrible things that happened to you and your loved ones instead of seeking justice for what happened.

While this is quite a good mapping series and definitely one that is among the better of them, it still doesnt fix the problem that in the end, Polonia was proven right. Poland was once again destroyed, they lost major amounts of land, and they are saddled with a probably massive deficit. Not to mention Ukraine and Hungary being punished, Russia once again subjegating its minorities through "Liberty" and "Anti-Discrimination" but in reality having pledged russian nationalism. Overall decent, but falls apart massively at the end.
