Live from Glastonbury 1993. This song could have been specially written about surviving the Glasto experience !

How AWESOME to get a video to go along with my clear vinyl of this track! One of my favorite Verve items! They apparently gave these clear vinyls away at the festival. Wish I could upload a pic. They were BEST during their Northern Soul Tour then they were never as good. Even when they made Urban Hymns the live shows had significantly less emotion in my honest opinion and I LOVE them. Wish Richard could have bitten the bullet and swallowed his pride for the benefit of the band as a whole and for the future but sometimes we see stars and can’t help but try to be there no matter the cost but listen….NO ONE ON THE PLANET EARTH replaces NICK MCCABE! EVER.

This album changed my whole approach to guitar after playing for 15 years. Saw them live at the Troc in Philly back in '93. McCabe is a MASTER of effects.

This was my one and only Glastonbury. Fortunately, the weather was glorious, as when I got there I discovered that mice had eaten a bunch of holes in my tent and we would've gotten drenched if it had rained. I remember getting on that Ferris Wheel after I'd taken acid for the first time. Glad I was retrained from jumping off it at a fairly ridiculous height while under the impression I could fly. I got my picture in the NME for being situated close to someone dancing in a very cool way. All in all, 58 quid well spent. Also saw these guys supporting the Black Crowes at Brixton Academy in November, 1992; it was obvious they had something about them, even then.

Is the whole performance available anywhere? There is some footage of them on a Glastonbury movie from 1993 and love the awesome Gravity Grave on the No Come down (b-sides & outtakes) release. Nothing comes close to early Verve ❤

While I love Tame too. they haven't yet reached the psychedelic level the verve often lived in.
