I was on stage with Mr. Rickels. He brought me on stage from the crowd. I made him laugh which is a memory I'll never forget. It meant so much to me cause my grandfather loved Don. I know that night he was there looking down. Thank you Mr. Rickles you were a legend and a gentleman. You made the world a better place through the laughter you created.

Back in the day, everybody could do everything. You had to. The Marx Brothers could all sing and dance better than any major singer today... and they were comedians. It was a totally different era, you had to be multi-talented.

@@VKDM8687 I never knew him, not till I accidentally stumbled upon him on a KZbin video in 2024just as I stumbled upon George Carlin; at that time i thought that Carlin was the greatest but after watching more of Rickles and realizing that he played a very hidden role in many movies and also realizing, that this man was humour personified, I can tell the world that as MJ is to Pop Music and as ALI is to boxing ...THERE CAN NEVER BE ANOTHER DON RICKLES!!! CERTAINLY, THE GREATEST. Knowing him only after many years of his passing torments me and yes! Oh yes! That last song got to my DNA and tears welled in my eyes and I stood up from my bed to give him the honours of a standing ovation. RIP DON RICKLES.

First time I've heard Rickles sing -- and it expresses all the well wishes I've ever heard him give to his fellow entertainers and folks in general in a single song. The nickname "Mr. Warmth" is not just the sarcastic opposite of his "insult" schtick , it's who the man really was.

In this day and age, not one single comedian could ever get away with what Rickles did. His humor was offensive but to those whom should have been offended most, loved him and he loved them; Don Rickles was not racist; he made fun of the evil stereotypes of race that existed in his day, yet he loved everyone. A true, thoughtful comedian. God rest his soul.

@Cripple Bear faith is good, though as my name implies I'm a doubting Thomas. So while I respect the idea of it all being as it's written. It's a little far fetched at times. Of course, I do believe there has to be a God. With everything around us there had to be a creator. I just doubt man as a whole, with so many agendas and so forth I'll just accept there has to be a God, but cant get behind any one religion written or managed by man.

Story at a high-class restaurant with Sinatra, Rickles and other guests Bob Newhart and wife were there, Frank was in a lousy mood, and the decore of the restaurant was in white, the waiter came with some tomato sauce frank grabbed it and threw it across the room dead silence and Don says 'hey Frank can you pass the sauce" everyone one laughed including Frank

They called him Mr. Warmth for his biting comedic style and brilliance. Rarely has pure comic genius been so obviously displayed in a half century of work. His appearences on Carson and Dean Martin Comedy Roasts are as hilarious today as they were in the 60's. Timeless comedy is rarely found. Don Rickles comedy is a masterpiece in motion, savored as every fine line was delivered we stand and applaud in admiration. The world laughs less without Mr. Warmth. Those days are gone but his genius will never be forgotten.

The One and Only Mr. Don Rickles has passed away today! "MR. WARMTH" is gone and my heart is wounded , as another Legend of my childhood is no more. Whenever I see his roasts, interviews etc he always made my day better with a deep laugh or a smile on my face. There are only a very few Legends left ie Jerry Lewis, I also mourn for our society today for so many do not even know who the comedic legends were or are. IE Jack Benny, Dean Martin, Jonathan Winters just to name a few. RIP MR. RICKLES our prayers are for your loss and the family you have left behind to cherish your memory!

Hes a one of a kind comedy Icon who like many of the old guard whose kind will never be seen again. Seeing him sing at the end really got to me as I know what a warm hearted guy he was in real life, and that's why very few were offended by his humor. I roared with laughter for twenty minutes, and then he sang, at his great, old age, the wisest, most lived song I've heard someone sing in a very long time, and was taken somewhere special where I was filled with emotion and tears. Thanks for the laughter, thanks for the joy and thank you for sharing your talent your whole life through

Nobody quicker in stand up comedy. His "insults" were gold. The best part? Everyone was in on the gag! They knew, at the end of the day, Rickles was a kind, caring, loving man. And I had NO IDEA he could sing!

All that, and the man sings too. This is the first time I've heard him sing. I grew up knowing about Don Rickles but never paid too much attention. These days I'm rediscovering his genius on youtube. He's given me so many belly laughs. A true artist. Thanks for uploading these clips and great job putting them together.

Don Rickles was always brilliant. He roasted Scorsese, De Niro and others thoroughly. He kissed Sinatra (on more than one occasion). He broke Carson's cigarette box. He had Tyler Perry and Tracey Morgan laughing. And lo and behold, not a hurtful slap (I'd call Carson's gesture a mild tap) to be seen anywhere...

Victor Broughton , bahhh, what’s the point? Ignore it and enjoy the rest... this is about Don Rickles and not HW. It just goes to show that eventually we all hv to answer for our behaviour. He’s got some of his now and maybe not enough by some standards but he will hv to give acct to his creator, as we all will.
