Juventus fan here. What a player Vialli was, he could score in all manners a striker should - left foot, right foot, headers, first-time shots, shots after dribbles in close ranks, long range blasts, volleys, everything. He was very talented but also very mobile, his constant running could wear out a full defence. Always liked his celebrations, he exploded with joy when it actually made sense, otherwise he was just happy to have done his job. Nothing like the shows players put up today. He was sure of himself but not arrogant, actually he often came out as - if not humble - capable of listening. He was quite combative but also clean and loved fair play and especially playing for the team. And he was a clever nice bloke off the pitch too, never heard him say anything stupid. A great guy, a true image of the football that was, the romanticized but also truly more romantic game of the 1980s and 1990s, both for us Italians and I guess for you guys in England. So sorry he has left us

Love those old 90's Chelsea shirts - so baggy and voluminous. Looks like he's about to take off! Forgotten how much white there was in those shirts. These shirts (from 97/98) may have been the last Home shirts to have this much white on the sleeves.
@wpg52253 жыл бұрын
It's not only Chelsea's shirt, but all other teams. It's only recent decades that players wanted fitter jerseys which also started by the Italians during the world cups in 2002/2006 if not mistaken.
@robtyman42813 жыл бұрын
@@wpg5225 true. The 90's was the 'baggy' decade as far as clothes/general fashion was concerned. This of course spread across into sportswear, and football club shirts. It was the thing to wear things that looked slightly too big for you. Close fitting clothes are something that came in during the 00's, and largely remains the case today
