Thank you for the review. I feel better about my purchase now as my yezro should be arriving today. It was the only thing I could find for the quest 3 that didn't involve 3d printed parts.

Meta should just make an official club with buttons and a joystick near the top and tracking sensors at the bottom of the club. Standardize it for all games. Sell it for $100.

Great vid. I've been waiting for someone to cover this info. The golf club I have for my Quest 2 controllers won't work with Quest 3... and so I am definitely looking to get another one. Recently got the yezro to play golf plus with . I halved the weights and when you slip and tie the cord for second “no lose” security it’s absolutely PERFECT. 10/10 satisfied customer

thanks - how do you pull the grip/trigger to swing? (I don't want any 3d printed parts). and you talking Q2 or Q3 controllers?

If you don't want 3D printed parts, you'll need to skip the Sanlaki. You don't pull the trigger to swing. You just swing. And when you happen to need the trigger for something you just hoist it up into your hand for a moment.

Thanks for this detailed video. I was just about buy a unit from DeadEyeVR... but this one looks way better for me. I have a very small play space so I need a short option to be safe. I was considering the DeadEyeVR Elite Chrome (Mini Version), or their cheaper DriVR with the 90° mount which is more similar to the design of the Yezro Y13S. I decided to place my order now for the Yezro Y13S on Amazon. I've also just bought a single right-handed Touch Pro controller and charge cable for $100 on ebay. Hopefully the pro controller will be worth the extra money to provide the best tracking possible. Have you come across any reviews discussing if the pro controllers are any better at tracking the full golf swing?

Sorry for the late reply. I expect the pro would track better, but I haven't talked to anyone about it. When I had the Pro headset the controllers were definitely better at tracking, but they also took longer to boot.

@@bringhurstvr I've been playing with the Yezro Y13S for over a week now and happy with it. I took the extra weights out and replaced the grip with same grip as my real putter (Golf Pride Tour SNSR). The Pro controller that I purchased on eBay arrived today. I just purchased the right-hand controller only, plus a usb charge cable. But Ebay amazingly shipped the charging cable separately, so I cannot test it out yet. Hopefully the cable will make it safely because I cannot buy it in South Africa.

Thanks for the review but we really need to know if playing a round will result in launching your controller into the wall or if they are strong enough to hold a full swing and some data on accuracy. That review would be really benificial because many of us are looking at these two in particular.

Sorry, they're both secure and won't come off regardless of the swing. And they're both equally accurate, provided you adjust their positioning inside the game. The differences between them are really only to do with weight distribution and the realistic sense of actually holding a club, and the work it takes in attaching them.

Would either work for a full golf swing? Putting doesn’t seem to present any risk of the controller falling out of the attachment.

Neither are gonna fall out. And yeah, I've used both for long swings. The YEZRO is a bit scarier because of it's length and weight, but it feels more natural.

I used those straps just fine. No need to take them off for the Yezro.

@@ronkramer3476 every game I've tried, there's an option to disable that in the settings. It's a failsafe to prevent accidental swings. If the game you're playing doesn't allow for that, then you won't be able to use any of these clubs.

How do you adjust where the club is in your hand? The controller thinks my handle should be where the controller is but the controller is a good away from my hand

Depends on what you're playing. But in almost every game there's an option to adjust for a club. You hold the trigger or grip button and turn the club until it aligns properly.

It’s possible to pare down the weights of the Yezro club to only one 50 gram weight with some ingenuity. Slide one 50 gram weight up to the top of the shaft and secure it in place with a zip tie or a rubber band and voila you’re all set!

@@bringhurstvr i missed your reply yesterday due to I have a lot going on with family this weekend. The holidays are coming and with that - so does family, lol. I put the gun together this morning and I’m surprised at how sturdy it is. And the strap that came with it, I believe can be used on my real guns. I’m definitely going to check that out and see. I don’t have a shooter game yet but I’m going to purchase one.

@@10speed4 no worries. I'd recommend either Contractors or Compound. Both support the gunstock, and compound isn't multiplayer, which might be appealing to a lot of people.

I personally bought the Deadeye golf club adapter and I've been very disapointed with the quality control. (they are sending me a 3rd replacement because the first one doesnt keep the controller secured and the second one was just terrible and it wouldnt even fit). I do like the design but at the same time I wish it would just work as intended. Now I'm looking for a replacement that is not deadeyeVR lol

Oh and by the way, about your tracking issue you mentionned on PCVR I can relate and I'm using link cable at 3.1 gbps. If you ever find a fix just hit me up!!!

@@blame1991 as far as the DeadEye, I've got a unit on the way for review. Haven't had a chance to test it yet, but it seems likely that there's a setting inside Quest that enables "tap controllers together to enable hand tracking", and Steam doesn't know what to do with it. So any sudden tap or jarring motion is temporarily disabling the controllers. Supposedly, disabling this in the quest settings should fix it, but again, haven't been able to test first hand.

@@bringhurstvr oh I guess that makes sense when you use 2 controllers but it happens when using only one. Sometimes im literally facing my controller and then one second later I get a popup saying tracking lost. I find it a bit weird and hopefully they comme with an update that fixes it

I've been playing a bit of Golf+ lately, but no, at the time of this video I was only playing Walkabout Mini-golf. Sorry you're displeased.

Displeased is putting it a bit strong! It's just that many people playing VR golf will be interested in these and a full golf swing may show more differences/advantages/disadvantages between the two you tested.@@bringhurstvr

Honestly, I've put a lot of time into golf+ and I've never gotten past the hesitation that comes with a wide swing inside VR. I don't have the space to swing naturally, and if I did, I'd still feel hesitant because of the cost of the hardware. I just like mini-golf more. The game has better textures, it's on steam, and there's more precision required. That's just me, and I think most of my viewers will fall into the same camp.
