I think travis best exemplifies the reality of how many popular celebrities whether involved in music or acting get to where they are. It wasnt down to travis' talent that made him stand out, but rather his ability to use people and leverage his connections to people regardless if they got hurt or not, further why the idolization of such a shady and spineless guy will always be laughable because his fans dont understand the reality of it all. You can literally be dying in front of your favorite celebrity and they will watch it happen because at the end of the day they get paid because of your idolatry

The in-depth footage of his concert is actually used as training material for venues bc of how truly awfully it was handled at every level. I feel like a lot of people haven't seen the footage of his reactions on-stage bc bro very seriously was part of the problem. The crowd was making it super apparent that people were literally dying. you can't just randomly introduce a mosh attitude to a rap audience, Travis' ignorance on this is what bothers me the most. This exact crowd crush happened multiple times at Limp Bizkit festival sets in the 90's, most famously at one in Australia. Difference is, the lessons had been learned, Limp Bizkit requested special crowd rush barriers in the audience ( the kind you see at any major festival) and the festival ignored them. People died, but Limp Bizkit was legitimately free of guilt. 20 years later Travis Scott thinks the 10's of thousands of people in front of him are like the EA sports cardboard crowd, and the EMS lights driving through the crowd are a part of the show he must've forgot about. @@asahihardy962 I still feel like venting on this lol. Since his success with minimal effort rap made that whole art form seem like a joke, he assumed the borderline criminal energy of a live metal crowd would be trivial to adopt as well. This is cliche, but in a good pit it's hard to hit the ground when you fall because of how aggressively people will grab you to help you back up, if you did fall down in the mud you easily could die, most importantly everyone cares that you do not. There's a reason the parallel here is specifically with Limp Bizkit, not metal/hardcore punk as a whole. You could almost say Limp Bizkit brought in too many new bro fans who had no idea how to behave in a crowd that gets this wild, it wasn't their fault tho. Travis Scott was dumb as hell trying to make moshing a thing with his audience, I honestly predicted something to happen eventually I just didn't think it'd be full on crowd crush. This is a major rant but whatever, Travis could've helped in the moment but it shouldn't have to be the artists call, and crowd control barriers prevent the crush every single time. The fault is with the festival not the artist, in this case he his both so wtf happened here. Search a video called oasis crowd crush, it's short and super fascinating. A whole section of the crowd just flows forward and crashes the stage like a fluid. Also notice how clearly you would see this happen from the stage, it's dramatic.

I’ve been hearing more and more shitty things that Travis has done and I hate to say it, I’m not surprised. Ever since I saw that video of him yelling at the young camera guy to get off his stage, I got a good understanding of who he really is. However, in terms of him using people, he’s not alone in doing that. This is in no way an excuse for his behavior because using people is super low. But when you’re trying to become a popular artist, you have to do that at some point unfortunately. Using people to make connections with the big shots is quite normal in the rap game or music industry in general.

10 dead people including a child < UTOPIA LETS FUCKING GO BABY!! In all seriousness, I went to his Utopia tour in Boston last month, and instead of doing the really dangerous thing of encouraging fans to rush the stage, and be generally as harmful to those around them as possible, he has these stone floating baby head things that have lasers coming out of their eyes. Travis will then pick out crazy fans from the floor and have them hooked onto the platform on the floating heads so they can have a similar experience to jumping on stage or whatever, but in a much more intentional, controlled way. I have done a lot of research into the chain of command and communications, as well as the timeline, and it seems very likely that Travis was not able to be informed that a mass casualty event had been declared, or that the concert needed to end immediately. Eventually the message had been settles that Travis would end the show after Drake’s performance, and that was that. Should he have intuited something was wrong after seeing the ambulance attempt to go to the front and leave, maybe, but at the end of the day it’s really hard to tell what he was able to see on stage. There are a few incidents that happened before Astrofest genuinely fishusting negligence, including. Encouraging a fan to jump down from the second floor, who became paralyzed from the waist down, and encouraging a crow to break through security, inciting a riot at another show. It does seem like he has learned from his mistakes during his Utopia tour, and hopefully we won’t have to endure a tragedy at his concerts ever again.

People died before he learnt his lesson the research you’ve done is dogshit there are countless videos of people breaking into the concert resulting in overcrowding and travis isn’t blind or a newbie when it comes to performing for a crowd he had a Birds Eye view of the concert and chose to ignore the chaos

It was a massive sacrifice. The movie American Satan, the actor that plays the devil said that the ultimate sacrifice u do is kill someone during ur performance. Look how many people were killed & injured. Look at the imagery before the event. Him going in a trance when paramedics were carrying a woman on top of the crowd & chanting something Him seeing the ambulance trying to come closer to the stage & said "fck the ambulance let's blow this place up everybody jump" all hell broke lose, people were injured terribly. SICKENING.
