Just happened to come upon your channel. I own a 2010 Victory Vision Tour. So far parts have not been an issue and my local Indian dealership used to sell the Victory line and are very good with it. What we are finding out here in SD is a renewed interest in Victory and they sell as fast as they come in. The 106 engine is extremely reliable as well as economical. I look forward to following you endeavors in the future.

Love the bike. I have a 2015 Victory Vegas 8Ball with pretty much the exact same mods except a different exhaust. When I installed the power commander 5 on mine, the instructions had me disconnect the wiring for my O2 sensors so you should check that since all the fuel air ratios are adjusted during the dyno tune. The O2 sensors are just left there to keep the holes in the exhaust plugged up.Look into getting a Loydz quarter turn throttle ring. They are cheap and easy to install and you will love it. Also, you said you put 4 quarts of oil in. Check your oil because they should take 5.

The spark plug wires are more of an efficiency thing. I would recommend a "preformance" coil pack & irrudum plugs. If you don't upgrade the plugs with it, it's more than lickly you will need new plugs soon anyway. Learned that with on old jeep. Found your channel through this vid. I just got a 2011 Victory Vegs 8-Ball. I have plans for this thing

100 miles after my first oil change (performed by a non-Victory-specific mechanic) I started getting that hydraulic lifter tick. I looked at the filter they installed and I'm guessing they didn't use Victory oil. I too have heard the Victory oil is specifically designed for their motors and will almost eliminate the tick. I've put 2k miles on it since the oil change and the tick is so aggravating to me that I've ordered the Victory oil change and am going to do it before 3k miles. The tick is an annoying noise that no matter what day I'm riding makes me feel like my bike is falling apart.
@billsfabworks31882 жыл бұрын
Same brother it annoyed the hell out me even with music playing! After the oil change with victory oil and filter it took less than 300 miles for that tick to disappear! Let me know if your noise goes away!

I plan on doing pretty much these exact same upgrades to my 2016 XC so it's nice to see what numbers I can anticipate. For my exhaust I'm going with a set of Hacker Tru Duals and hopefully I can get similar numbers. Nice bike!

Victories engines were miles ahead of anyone else, especially when you consider the Freedom 106 came out in 2009, and makes power that Harley couldn't touch until they came out with the 114ci M8, 8 years after the Freedom 106.
@vernlochtefeld16262 жыл бұрын
Really that fair. The 106 and m109R were top of the V twin cruiser bike motors. Now that the M8 resolved its oil pump issues its re setting the bar with its even better 4 valve heads, auto compression release, computer that can pull timing and architecture that allows for 131s with slip ins. Wish Indian had kept a line of Vic/Indians with the Freedom 106. Its still head and shoulders above the old 2 valve headed Thunderchoke. But that likely would have caused a problem internally.

I have a 2013 Highball and its been nothing but absolutely fantastic. I got one of the last sets of Lloydz 501 cams they only make the 505's now. Still I highly recommend doing it. What a difference. Do that and throw in a conquest customs overdrive pulley and you will always be at your max powerband even when at 2200rpm. The 501's kick on around 2500. Expect to be 110+hp and 115+tq after cams with the 505's. If you can find the 501's though I would recommend them over the 505's as most of us keep it in the higher rpm. The 106 loves high rpm. I typically don't shift until around 3500rpm. Also don't be scared to take it to redline. We are far suppressed from what it can truly safely rev to. Ill be in AZ soon I live in NV would love to ride with another highball.

Can you still get the 504? Seeing out of stock. Was that made by Andrews is it the same as the V472? Helping a friend with his Cross Country
@GrandpaWazi2 жыл бұрын
@@vernlochtefeld1626 501s and 504s are no longer made. 505s are the only cams lloydz will continue to make for our bikes. I don't believe Lloydz and Andrews are the same but I can't prove it. The 472s are comparable to the 504. Carrier clearance machining is mandatory. High lift valve springs recommended. Unlike all other cams available that are just drop in and go. What is your friend looking for performance wise? Putting those on a cross country for high rpm gains? Do they ride 2 up? If so wouldn't your friend much prefer the 413 or 505 for the low end torque? 2 up riding with 472s that kick on around 3000 rpm seems like a major drag. Hp tq figures mean nothing if it's not being applied where you want it. Hell rip on the freeway above 3k rpm but getting up to speed anyone with 501 or 505 cams will be much quicker.

@@GrandpaWazi Solo riding 170 pounds always been a go fast guy. Had a crotch rocket at one time. Has two summers on his Vic now. Wants to stomp all V twin cruisers especially Harleys. He has a 2014 low miles. Has a lloyds air filter, 505 cam, Maximus tuner and map with I gather some setting changes he did with their tech over a year ago but has not yet had a remote tune done. RPM limiter lifted some. underdrive pulley and baffles out of factory exhaust. He is getting the Barnett clutch plate kit. Doesn't know what else to do. I don't know if where he might need fuel pump or injector upgrades. If he needs that adjustable timing gear thing or if that can be done with his tuner. And or whatever else I don't know that I don't know about. The Power Commander 6 plus Auto tune looks promising to me because we can change things and Auto tune will adjust so maybe it works better than paying for a remote tune anytime you change exhaust or cam. But that combined is almost a grand even with black friday specials and he already has Maximus so.. I don't know. Maybe were just down to V472 & tune and or more exhaust mods. Last the Revolution Performance 117ci kit and cnc head porting is it still available? Who is running it with what? What do they say. I saw it online but Its so expensive I haven't even called about it. Maybe they have a big black friday special but not sure he is that spendy.

Thanks for taken the time for the video. 2017 is the only year you could get the nuclear sunset color. The victory oil is semi synthetic which is what is recommended. I use redline full synthetic but oil is a hated subject in most forums lol. If you PC5 ever fails go with a regular tuner that tunes the ECM like the Maximus or dynojet power vision, I would suggest the Maximus but I bought the dynojet because I can leave it on the bike and watch certain data channels like engine temp and A/F plus I few others. If I had to do it again I would get the Maximus. The PC5 is good but it is just a piggy back system and they can fail once in awhile. Are you part of the highball group on Facebook? Great guys in the group who are really knowledgeable. I just bought ground pounders and might get cams but not sure on the cams just yet. Stay safe brother
