This is perhaps my favorite new genre of video I've seen in years. These places are always GOLDMINES for the death of context. Before Brawl's videos were banished off the face of the Earth, the Sonic 3D Blast Saturn playlist had a couple of winners. Spring Stadium had one of the most wholesome stories of someone just playing the game when his dad, who had no idea video game music could even sound good, walked in on him playing it during Spring Stadium. After the fact, he would find his dad listening to Spring Stadium Act 1 every once in a while. The Gene Gadget tracks had a conversation between furries about a hypothetical furry rave. One of them made videos about watching trains while wearing a fur suit.

A few years ago, whenever I was upset I used to play this song really loud on my surround system. During the funny parts, I would move around the house like Bizabizow and act just like her and be really aggressive and get up in my family members faces. Once 00:46 kicked in I would start throwing things around and start making loud girl noises, just going around the house flipping over chairs and throwing papers and stuff off tables and just making a huge mess of the house in minutes. My family came to dread this video whenever it played because they knew it meant one thing. Man I miss those days.

One of the weirdest comments I saw was under an upload of “Mary, the Magician” from the Touhou album _Magical Astronomy._ It was something along the lines of “This song really captures what it feels like to be a magical boy/girl irl”. All of the replies were confused, offended that someone would be so delusional, or both, but the original poster has never responded to anyone, so nobody really knows what they meant or if they actually think they’re a “magical boy/girl irl”. Edit: It's also one of the only comments on that particular upload, so it's easy to find.

I actually really like looking at people's comments about given music in a game. Talking about how good the music is, a moment or character related to the music or (my favourite) memes. Seeing as no one I know IRL is really into talking about how much adrenaline you can get from Terminal Velocity from Sonic Colours (or other videogame music related stuff) this is a nice alternative.

This reminds me of a long comment I left on a Splatoon music video. It was one of the Splatoon 3 lobby tracks, the one with the weirdly human female vocals in it. I remember typing out this long kind of somber sounding story about what the song FELT like to me. I don't know why, but that song gives me an extremely specific kind of melancholic feeling. No other song has ever made me feel that intensely specific of emotions and feelings, but that one song from the funny squid kid game did SOMETHING to me. I remember people also agreeing that, while VERY oddly specific, they too felt the way I did. It was one of those feelings of "yeah, we're with you," and it was oddly wholesome. Thank you random comment replies to my weird and random comment on a Splatoon lobby soundtrack video on KZbin. Really makes me feel good about my day.

There’s a pretty obscure game that was probably a favorite of my childhood, is extremely nostalgic. I remember it extremely fondly, and it probably makes it one of my most favorite games ( screw the ending tho, they botched it ). It always makes me depressed not many know of it- However I found the ost songs on KZbin ( cause the songs SLAP ), and to my surprise and joy, nearly every comment were people like me who adored the game and wished more people knew about it. They’d always compliment its best aspects, and even thank the uploader for putting these few instances of ost. Bless those homies in those comment sections 🤌 Edit: yeah I’m a dummy, it’s drawn to life the second chapter. My nostalgia could be up-playing it, but me and the others remember it fondly. I believe the uploader of the soundtracks is called sir Baki too.

Btw the DK stomping around the house comment is from Trunk Twister specifically. The comment doesn't exist anymore, and the infamous screenshot of the comment doesn't include the song name. So people have to guess which song it is, meaning you'll find people in comment sections of various Tropical Freeze songs looking for it. Most common one being the DK Island Swing arrangement, but Mangrove Cove is also a common one. If you go to the comments of piplupWater's Trunk Twister upload, one of the top comments is someone mentioning the comment, and the user himself replies to it confirming that Trunk Twister is indeed the OG song he commented on.
