I am so glad you got to see Cooperstown, went there over 10 years ago and not being a baseball fan, found it to be a great museum. The town is so wonderful to walk around, makes you want to live there. I was so amazed at how many farms were in upper New York, beautiful countryside, drove around the Finger lakes which is a nice drive. When most people think of New York, they only think of the big city not realizing the rest of the state. Thanks for showing us more of this great country!

When I was in little league, our youth club organized a trip and game with another local youth league team. I got to play on Doubleday Field, and went 2 for 3 lol. Baseball was my sport. Great place to visit, great memory.

Back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s I spent 18 summers in Cooperstown going to Camp Otsego, going from youngest camper to Head Counselor. I think I saw every Disney movie ever made during that time period in that theater! Thanks for bringing back to this now old lady many wonderful memories.

Born and raised in Cooperstown. Glad you made it to Cooperstown. The mound you mention is called "Indian Mound", burial of hundreds of Indians. The Smalley's theater was our local movie theater for years and years. We use to host the Hall of Fame Game every year with two major league teams at Doubleday Field. Much more in Cooperstown to see!

I had the privilege of meeting Ty Cobbs son Jim, when I lived in Santa Maria CA. Every morning like clock work, he went by for his morning walk. Chatted with him several times, and he was just a lovely, lovely man. Full of spunk still in his older age, and quite the talker. Lots of stories. Bless his heart :)

Nice to see - I love Cooperstown, and that part of New York State. We lived there from 2002 to 2009, and would go on day-trip drives to see what was about. So beautiful! I said, "It's so beautiful here! Why would anyone ever leave?" as in going west, and my husband said, "I imagine after a while it got full." Pretty sure I recognized some of those silos and barns....I'm only at 3:50 now, so I look forward to the rest of your visit. 😉👍🏻

I love that museum, went to it about 30 yrs ago. If you want a semi filming location, go to Binghamton, NY little more than an hour south of Cooperstown. It is hometown of Rod Serling, creator of Twilight Zone. You can ride the carousel that inspired the episode "Walking Distance". I know this because my Mom is from there and I rode it a lot as a kid.
