2021 April 6th. Toronto is in their third wave, and lockdowns started again. Ppl be crazy on the streets. But I’m glad I found this song back in high school. Good thing to vibe to. Also shout out to Outkast for making the original! Beautiful lyrics! This version really helped me throughout high school. Some random student had permission to play this over the school speaker, it was amazing. I was very lucky to have that experience.

When their hit single " Get Free" was played on the radio , the video for it was played on MTV and when they played with The Hives on that one MTV award show. I'm not sure if it was the movie awards or the music awards. But yeah , I was basically trying to say that it was a surprise to hear that song covered by The Vines at the peak of their fame , plus at the time , not many rock groups covered hip-hop songs. I dig it though.
