The Viper ACR Extreme is as Extreme as a Production Viper Can Get

The 2017 Viper ACR Extreme is the ultimate version of a Viper, and the numbers prove it. 3.3 second 0-60 and 13 track records held at one time, now that’s impressive. The owner, Aaron Maltz, invited me to ride shotgun on the way to the Greenwich Cars and Coffee show, and of course I said yes.

if i am not mistaken the Viper is the LAST manual transmission car to hold a record at the Nurburgring. All other cars faster than the Viper are semi-auto paddle shifting cars.

You are 100% correct, and there will unfortunately never be another car like it. The end of an era, and the ACR is the best the Viper has ever been, and is the reigning king of analog, manual, and naturally aspirated cars.

Duncan Mac Because I unfortunately don’t have the time with 2 little kids, their busy schedules, and trying to be a good Dad.....One day I’ll be able to drive it more, but until then it remains a very special treat to drive once in a while. The smiles per mile factor is VERY high for me. 😜👍

You're correct, I mentioned it during the video because it's just so odd. I believe the owner was part of the family who created the brand name and I think there are very few left. Looked like a fun car to drive.

Sucks that the Dodge Viper perished. Glad it never came with anything else other than the 6 Speed Manual Transmission. I pray that if they revive it that it stays that way, if not then just keep it dead.
