When using the crowbar you have to be patient, it still takes a f@$k load of hits to break the vents with them but they can be broken. You can do it with a stone but it'll take way more hits. I remember spending about 10 minutes hitting a vent with a stone. and around 4-5 minutes using a crowbar. Just be patient please.
