Jerry is a seemingly normal man trying to succeed in his new job at the Milton Bathtub Factory. He lives in a normal apartment the type you would expect from a young bachelor with his dog, Bosco, and his cat, Mr. Whiskers. Yet something seems off. As the new guy at work, Jerry is asked to help plan the company picnic, and he meets Fiona, an attractive English girl from accounting. Jerry immediately takes a liking to Fiona and excitedly goes home to tell his pets about her. And surprisingly, they answer. Symon Alex not really cuz like said this trailer seemed a more dark humoury type thing where everything is just suppose to be funny and no consequences towards the end. But nope this movie enters the dark prison of a schizo and its just depressing how the movoe makes you realise hard it is to help people like Jerry and without people around people like Jerry they make really bad decisions with consequences they dont necessarily deserve. I love the concept of this movie because it really seems like its able to show a boiled down perspective of what people with schizophrenia tend to deal with; hearing voices. I really had a guest lecture at my school regarding mental health and this was one of the things he was talking about. But because of this movies premise,im not sure how people who work with people with mental illness as part of their jobs are gunna react to this movie, im a bit wary

I absolutely loved this film, although I can see how the genre blending, or lack of identity, could throw off some viewers. While this movie is funny at times, its really quite a dark film, and I found myself not actually laughing at the "light-hearted" aspects of the story, because how dark the reality of it is. Reynolds was fantastic. 8/10.

This movie actually turned out to be even better than i was expecting it to be. Saw it three days ago and i still keep laughing at it in my head lol. a lot deeper then i thought it'd be too. Jerry is such a well thought out and written character, you really do get to experience his insanity and the true depth of the darkness of his world from that brief moment when he goes back on his bills and the light and color vibrance fade. really well thought out picture.

Actually...? this movie has probably the most accurate portrayal of schizophrenia that I've seen. Getting diagnosed, taking medication, feeling the relief of said meds and then you reach a point to where you feel good enough that you THINK that you don't need them anymore ...and then you skip a day, no harm - no foul, right? Well, eventually it snowballs to where you wind up back at "square one" (again), thus in point restarting the vicious cycle all over again. ^__^;; Vm

I watched this film yesterday and it's a really interesting film, it may seem simple and scary sometimes but it all has a deeper meaning. It involves all of us regarding our psychology, the fact that there are two voices in our head: one that encourages us (the dog in the film) and the one which makes us feel bad about ourselves (the cat) ((it's important a detail in the film: the cat talks more than the dog and the protagonist often listens to him and ignores the dog. The same happens to us: we listen more to the voice which brings negativity and we tend to belittle the positive one)). I recommend following this film until the end and watch with attention the last scenes with the psychotherapist who will give the protagonist a valuable advice which will explain why he hears those voices.

loved this movie. comical, sad, dark. it got really weird at times, but it was really good. very unique role and film. again Ryan Reynolds proves that hes got what it takes to knock it out of the park if hes put in the right role and passionate about what hes doing.

This movie is beyond great. Ryan Reynolds is so so good plus the other casts and the movie itself is really really good. Became my favorite with the first watch. I expected so much fun from the trailer, but got more heartbreaks with the film itself. Brilliant movie!

When I first started watching this movie I thought it was a funny movie about jerry talking to his pets and finding lobe and learning to love himself and be his quirky self, my god was I wrong

Not a fan of slasher movies, but since it had Reynolds and animals that spoke to him, I was in. It's certainly one of the oddest movies I've seen, but there's a nice balance of the crazy, the funny, and the dramatic that pulls you in. At the end when Reynolds, or Jerry gets caught, I was expecting the usual, but oh no! there's mom and dad, the women Jerry murdered and Jesus all singing a happy tune. Reynolds does a great job of playing the psycho murderer hearing voices. It's dark humour but also takes a good look at the psychological profile of a serial killer who's lost it all but still, at least for awhile, is able to keep it together before his illness takes over and all hell breaks loose. It could be a prequel to Deadpool.

10/10.. the best thriller genre I’ve ever seen. This movie is great. It talks about mental illness and I do love learning mental disorders. The actors/actress are good. Perfectly fit. Hahahah I love Jerry being Schizophrenic tho. I hope there’s more movies like this in the future. ❤️ Btw, Anna kendrick is cute when she’s scared 😆
