They always turn out better when you go deeper, but it can also cause you to stall out..

Usually you can just pull one corner out and start tapping on the inside of the screen and work your way around, that will push it out. If it's been glued in the only solution is cut the rubber. For the side windows get one corner out and push the window out with ur feet.

Oh man bummer about the windshield. If it makes you feel any better: after a few successful installs in my own buses, a good friend asked me to put in his. I broke it. Talk about embarrassed! The frustration is real. BUT I've been thoroughly enjoying your videos and they take me back to when I played with buses. Keep your chin up and good luck!

Right on! That's the right attitude. Veedubs may break your heart from time to time but when you're driving across some random state line, it's all worth it.

Hey SVs Auto, Do you know how to reinstall the plastic air hose under the front dash of the 1978 VW bus? I'm having a hot time reinstalling those plastics air hose to the steel dash, it does not fit right.

Once it cracked you should've just broke it to make it easier to take out.Thats what I did on my 71 deluxe.

I had never taken one out before so I wanted to see if I could before I moved on to the other windows.. LOL

@@SVsAuto I always cut the rubber on the inside, most rubber needs to be replaced anyways.

Had the same trouble with my new front panel get it all off to see mess down hill and stress . 😩🥺😟 Then buy new Brazilian Front panel up hill and 😃🤣😌🙂happy

What was the state of the metal beneath the windshield? That's a frequent rust out point.

It is not too bad there is a little rust but I don't think that I will need to cut anything out. I will need to remove some sort of sealant that the PO used on the gasket before I am sure of the condition.
