Imo Rick negotiated the whole thing wrong because he was in shock negan caught up to them. Had he explained that the original attack on daryl Abraham and Sasha was intending to kill Abraham and Sasha, negan probably would’ve understood how Gregory managed to manipulate them into attacking the saviors, because he doesn’t like killing people. That’s also the saviors biggest downfall, is the inner disagreements between them, like Simon.

@@tae0088 there was a fucking SHITLOAD of negotiating with the saviors LOL. You know, I actually cried when I saw him like this. He is my favourite character, and I felt so much pity for him, he lost everything including himself, his wife, his friends, his people. And now he's a prisoner of his enemy. Jeffrey's performance was exceptional as Negan and the writers were just as great.

Everything he's done? Did you not watch the show mate? The saviors did stop Daryl, Sasha and Abe first, but that's most likely because *SIMON* told them to. Negan had no idea what Simon had been doin' to people behind his back. But just because he's the main villain the average person who relies on emotion and not logic will place the blame entirely on him. Simon did all the negative things you've heard or seen the saviors do so anything you come up with that doesn't have Negan in person you simply cannot use. Rick and co killed men in their sleep for no reason other than "Well we better get them before they get us" Now remember Rick has never seen the saviors before so he doesn't know these are the people that even stopped Daryl, Abe, and Sasha. A whole satellite outpost killedfkr no reason. Now Negan sends more people for the murder of his men because he thought Rick came out of nowhere which he really did. They kill more saviors and now Negan deals with it personally with the intention killin' *ONE* guy for the hundred somethin' of his men that's been killed. Now Daryl punches Negan and now Glenn has to die to show he really isn't fuckin' around. After, he kills Spencer because he's a snake that would be gotten Rick's group killed by the saviors and that's literally all the people kills. Compare that to Rick and he's a saint. He saved Gabriel, Spared Carl after he infiltrated the sanctuary guns blazin', Took Sasha in, Gave Rick more than enough chances a competent person would need to get the message, gave Eugene a home after he made the bullet that came a baseball bat away from killin' him, he held Judith, killed Simon for wipin' out the communities when he found out. This guy was literally the nicest "Villain" I'd ever met. Rick was just too stupid to just live with the bed he made for himself when he killed all those people in their sleep. Had he not, the saviors probably would've never even found out about them. If it were me, it would've been bye bye Alexandria day one.

The Architect Of The Hounds How about the fact that Negan killed the entire male population at Oceanside, ordered the murder of Olivia during his visit to Alexandria and also slayed children from the hilltop, the guys a cold blooded sociopath?
@ststes4 жыл бұрын
@@TemplarJohn I agree with you maul but the one thing I feel the need to correct --Negan actually didn't order the deaths of the men at oceanside. That was his second (simon I think) --even negan found that to be bad As much of a sociopath as he is don't forget, he considers humans a resource. he doesn't care about the deaths so much but he does probably find it wasteful
@ststes4 жыл бұрын
@@thearchitectofthehounds9815 did YOU watch the show? part of negan's entire MO was to kill someone when meeting a new group, that wasn't just simon that was his method too. Negan was the one who killed the kid at hilltop when they found that place, not simon negan was definitely better than simon but he still did plenty of bad shit Rick killed the men at the satellite place because he knew the killed a kid and forced the hilltop to work for them under threat of death. He also knew it the saviors had their way they would do the same to alexandira You forget that Negan's whole process is to first kill someone, then force a group to work for him. they have to give half of everythign they get to the saviors and if they are short all someone gets hurt or killed. If the saviros feel like it they beat the shit out of people Are you seriously suprised that people would want to rebel and kill negan and the saviors?
@dereckandre34854 жыл бұрын
Did you forget that Negan’s group threatened and attempted to kill Rick’s group first? That is the reason Rick killed so many of his men. They kept trying to kill him and the Alexandrians. Negan is to blame for Simon as it shkws his negligence. Only a pathetic leader would fail to notice those things which Negan was. He was also a psychopath. He even recruited literal sex offenders into the saviors and did not think again of who exactly the people he recruited are. Saviors always killed at least one person when first meeting up a group of people.

@@jamesBFC1887 in an apocalyptic world yes, it’s kill or be killed and Rick chose the first option, like Negan, the key difference between them is that Rick did it for his family and the community that was Alexandra whereas negan killed to keep his power and because by his own admission he enjoyed it, the saviours proved themselves to be a threat and Rick acted accordingly.

Negan deserves this and so much more
@thrillerjihoon6 жыл бұрын
He's not faking this. Negan is truly broken here, because this is worse than being killed and he knows that. He's sitting in a cell isolated, lost everything, including his bat who he cherished since he named it his dead wife. He's lost all of that and has nothing else to live for, but he's sitting isolated and living when he doesn't want to be. If he was truly faking this, he wouldn't crawl back into his cell so desperately. He could've easily knocked out Maggie the moment he stood up and began to walk behind her, but didn't. Whether you liked Negan or not, this scene was done amazingly and I personally cried for him. This is not an evil man, this is someone who was clouded by having to survive and thinking he was doing what was right. I assume now he realizes he's wrong and lost, that is also why he is so broken. I don't think him escaping will automatically be him going for revenge, he's too broken to do that. It would be stupid since no more saviors are around, they're all living happily and peacefully. Negan's not an idiot, just because he broke out doesn't mean he's gonna kill everyone who locked him up. He's probably going to get some sort of redemption, since we have no strong Protagonist right now.

You said Negan was "a murderer through and through" but you could also say that for Rick and his group.The world as it once was is gone and "doing the worst kinds of things just to survive" is what it has become.Carl's final wishes brought his father back to the man he was before the apocalypse "I forgot who I was. You made me remember" and it also led in sparing Negan's life,so that he can lead the "new world" in Carl's vision of a better future. In his last moments, Carl told Rick and Michonne his visions for an idyllic future - one that saw old friends and new enemies living happily and peacefully at a lush and thriving Alexandria. "I'll make it real," Rick promised, saying goodbye. "I will."

Haha well he was in a weakened state as Maggie easily threw him against the wall and probably would have just thrown him back in the cell if he tried to fight or escape. If he did manage to get past her up the stairs, then he would have easily been subdued by Michonne, Maggie and anyone else around. He most likely would have been more embarrassed and humiliated being seen by others outside in his current state. It actually would have been interesting seeing events like that happen.

This shows that death is not always a punishment. Death is a reward sometimes. Negan learned what he did was wrong and he paid for that and changed
@henryp. Жыл бұрын
Yes and other than to serve as deterrence, the 'punishment' of silence and solitude itself can do wonders to enlightenment, forced Introspection, to battle your own demons, face your own mistakes or wrong doings, that is, if you aren't a complete psychopath devoid of character, whereas Negan clearly has a lot humanity buried deep down inside him. After monsters of the world took his last moments of Lucille from him, to cope and out of sheer anger right then and there, he kinda became a heartless monster to survive, only later does he realize he's lost himself and gone too far. Very well written and nuanced complex character. If a true hell existed as punishment for one's sins, the only punishment needed is the knowledge that what one did was ignorant & wrong.
