This is such a bizarre turn of events. Negan brutally murders Glenn in front of a pregnant Maggie. Negan slowly becomes a better person after serving 8 years in a prison cell. Saves Judith and Daryl's dog. Helps defeat the Whisperers. Joins a religious group with his new wife. Saves Maggie's life on multiple occasions. Finally offers a sincere apology for killing Glenn. Now, in order to protect her son, he has to revert back to his old ways, but he can't tell anyone why he is doing it because it will break his cover. Maggie is already on her way back to Manhattan to rescue Negan after the trade off with the Croat. She doesn't know anything about the Dama or her plan to unite the various factions of the city in order protect it from outsiders who will try to steal their prime resource, methane. Maggie is probably going to end up seeing the Old Negan in action, and assume the worst. This will cause her to have flashbacks of Negan killing Glenn, which will probably bring back her desire to seek revenge again. The irony is that this time around, he is putting on the Negan Show to protect Herschel and to stop *others* from stealing the resources from Manhattan, whereas when he was the leader of the Saviors, *he* was the one taking half of every community's resources.

It makes sense to me that Maggie left Hilltop again. She has that history, and Hershel has suffered for it. Kids need security and she provided little to none. It certainly lends credibility to his becoming a villain.

The Maggie angle would be better if she was more like maggie after Deanna, Hilltop Maggie, her being so morose for so long, she should be putting that energy into Hershel, and building communities.

Filming currently now South of the Boston area. I watched tonight when they were on scene filming. It was awesome. I spoke with one of the lighting crane operators. Could not see any of the main characters while filming as 3 vans were in the way All filming was done on a sidewalk in front of 2 hair salons and a Sushi place. The boarded up the windows to give it a scary look and they used that fake smoke. They built a stage somewhere in town and did a lot of filming from there as well. This town seems to be a hot bed for filming scenes from various cable series. I think any town USA could be that town they film in. Hollywood is every where now.

If you still have resentment towards Negan for doing what he was always supposed to do to Glenn since it was in the original comic material, and you also dislike Jefferey Dean Morgan for playing Negan and doing his job in that scene, you have major issues. Especially if you hate an actor for playing a character who killed another character.

@@jeanieschmidt3781 yeah but there are people who hate JDM and literally stopped watching the show because of a scene they said was “to brutal and gory” okay literally half a season before the line up, a kid got his face eaten off by a walker in episode “No Way Out”.

Negan has to play the role....he almost has no choice or the Dama will go after Hershel. I'm looking forward to the old Negan who, I think, we all know is not really who he use to be. He's going to play the hand he's dealt until he has the advantage. I can't wait to see how he uses his new powers!

This is very exciting. I know a lot of people like to hate on season 1 now, but i thought it was a pretty good introduction to the show. It finally gave me a Negan spin-off which I always wanted and i appreciate the expansion on the savior lore. It's going to be really fun to see Negan have to go back to his old role again, I just hope they don't undo his development and make him full on evil. My favorite Negan was Whisperer Negan, where he was annoying everyone and being badass, but also doing good things.

Not a fan so far. Love the actors but got nothing from this show. This first season could of been like three episodes. I have thought about it. And the other shows had the people running the show, doing stuff. This show feels like a entourage with occasional features of our people. I wish it was more driven by our people. I feel they fell prey to fx and used the big budget on scenes not writing. I do not want another moody teenager for hershel. Its overdone. And there would of been signs before this. He would not spend a few weeks being mistreated and change his personality. Angsty kid is one thing but i worry they will try to make him intimidating and he is too loved to he hated. Thats glenn boy for petes sake.
