So Telltale had an AMA on the forums where the creative director spoke about some stuff that didn't make it in game! I compiled what she said below: The original story from the trailer back in 2016: "Here is what the original story was supposed to be: There was an earlier version of the story where Javi was forced to join the New Frontier group and branded (against his will) in order to prove his trustworthiness/earn his place. He escaped, but still needed to retrieve his family (David, Gabe, and Mari) from their NF captors, which aligned his goals with Clementine’s search for AJ. Development started with that version of the story, but once the first version of it got onscreen, it didn’t feel like an authentic Walking Dead story. From there, a rewrite process started that ended upwith the version of the game that we shipped." Slaughterhouse: "Max at one point in development died in the Slaughterhouse in episode 1, after Javi found and took care of a turned Mariana." Season 1 Flashback: "There was a flashback of Clem and her babysitter in Episode 1, where she had a phone call with her mom from Atlanta." So the flashback was supposed to be in episode 1, not episode 5. Weird, but okay. Cut hub from episode 5: "There was a big hub in Episode 5 where Javi had to solve the problem of how to get off the roof, while also having the opportunity to talk to each character about your relationship and what was on their mind, including Clem trying to cheer up a very sad Gabe after having been knocked back by David in the scene in the apartments." Cut 'Carver' type villian: "Lingard’s model was originally created to be a guy named Mason, who was the mastermind of the New Frontier group in an early iteration of the story." Episode 4 original story: "The guy who stabbed Javi in episode 4 (and was eaten by walkers in Ep 5) was originally supposed to be a spanish-speaking engineer that Javi could use his (originally planned) bilingual skills to communicate with. He was being guarded by Ava, who was envisioned as a former MMA fighter who had found a role as a prison guard for the New Frontier."

ANF was really not prepared good. The ending of season 2 doesn't matter. Too many characters just dissapeared (Max, Eleanor, Joan/Clint). Some characters could have more screen time (Max, Ava, Francine, etc.). Death of Tripp/Ava is just shitty. It's not a level from season one "he/she will die no matter what", because in season one it looked interesting, serious. I think (as i know from this deleted content), original plot would be better (except grace). This season was made for people who are lazy to play previous season (no easter eggs from season 1, it isn't called season 3, we didn't meet characters from previous seasons like Lily, Arvo, etc.).

5:40 OBJECTION! In episode 4, there is a flashback where Ava gives you a bag of stuff. When she is trying to stay stealthy, Clem hears her. There is a option to draw your knife. If you choose it, Clem does an animation that looks the exact same as the one you're showing.

There appears to be an implied romance between David and Ava in those flashback scenes. His physical mannerisms with her in the actual game illustrate this as well. As subtle as a hand on her shoulder when he first introduces her to Javi

Okay I think I connected the Lonnie situation (or whoever the guy is that you can shoot his ear or throat). The way Clem and Javi meet is at the junkyard. Javi is sneaking around looking for his family when Clem knocks him out with the gun. The trailer is meant to be Clem's hideout between cities. They meet. They hear Marauder's coming, Clem or Javi go down the hatch to store the guns in the Ambulance. They fight back and Lonnie gets put down by Max. Max takes them to slaughterhouse unknowing of Javi's relation to David. Javi and Clem escape, you have the choice to help Clem or Max escape a zombie's grasp. They escape to Prescott. The rest basically is similar except the other content you've shown implies a romance between Ava and David, and more context to Javi and Kate's. Kate's justification for leaving Richmond seems more reasonable seeing this extra content. Thanks again--

You know, it really makes you wonder what the heck happened. Like Telltale made 4 Walking Dead games and 3 of the 4 are overwhelmingly positive! Yet they screwed up with ANF. ANF sounds like an amazing story in concept, but they failed in execution. I don't blame ANF's problems on the game, I blame it all on Telltale. Like why did they mess up so bad with this game? Kenny's cut dialogues, Joan executed or exiled, the slaughterhouse, and that Clem flashback would have made the game even better. Yet somehow they missed the mark so bad.

What I can speculate about the character "Grace" is that she is Gabriel and Mariana's actual mother. Sure, it can be a scrapped character, but the picture at 1:27 is an evidence showing that was David's real wife. SO THERE YA GO! Also with other pictures from Season 1 and Season 2 (If you paid attention at the flashback of episode 3)

I put together your video when you talk about "relics" left in telltale games and I think I found one in ANF while watching this video. When I played ANF and Clementine shot the man in te bar in Prescott I did not understand why she was so freaked out and asked me to back her up. I know she could get into trouble (I think this event was really badly placed and handled by Telltale anyway) but I have to admit that I would have been more worried for her if Telltale had stick with the idea of Tripp hanging people all over prescott. I think her dialog is a relic from the time when Prescott was supposed to look dangerous. It can also be seen when you first arrive and Clementine tells you the town is bad/dangerous when all you can see is people minding their own business.

the damaged javi model could be for the game over scenes, when you die in the game, but for the plot, i don't see anywhere it could have been used
