Kenny is a deeply flawed character, he lashes out in violence when things go wrong, he's quick to blame others even when it wasn't their fault, he puts far too much faith in very unlikely plans, he jeopardizes the safety of others when he doesn't think clearly snd often needs somebody to bring him back to reality, but ya know what he didn't do? He didn't leave a goddamn newborn baby in a broken down car that only he knew about in freezing temperatures surrounded by flesh eating zombies before going on a suicide mission to prove a point to a 12 year old little girl. If not for AJ crying when he did, he almost certainly would've frozen to death in that car, nothing Kenny ever did amounted to that level of stupidity and vindictiveness. I liked Jane a lot for most of the game but I can't forgive that at the end.

27:56 honestly feels so manipulative. Putting a man on top of a woman especially in a violent context will illicit a reaction of “get off her”. It feels like it was done so people would just shoot Kenny out of instinct. Plus it kinda reads as “we didn’t like people choosing one side so we changed it to manipulate them into doing what we wanted”.

The most interesting animations from the cut Clem and Sandra scene are - Sandra kneeling down to talk to Clem's on her level - Tickling Clem after finding her in the closet - Grabbing the walkers leg to pull it away from Clem - And finally, putting her hand on the glass door after Clem ran outside Just from those alone you can tell how much Sandra cared for Clem... Sounds like it would've been a super emotional scene and I'll never forgive TellTale execs for cutting it

I'm sad we didn't get the original story. Honestly, having the entire season be confined to Erickson and the surrounding area is probably the biggest weakness of TFS, imo. I liked how the characters traveled across large distances in the first two seasons, allowing us to see different environments

I remember watching e3 teaser in 2016 and being blown away when I booted up at the game it was nun like it Javier had a beard when he met Clementine he didn’t have the new frontier mark on his neck his voice was less deep nothing that was shown in the screenshots made it into the final game like the slaughterhouse and the graphics were some how worse then the trailer anf was such a wasted potential it had so much potential to be better then the other 2 seasons to this day I still don’t know why they scrapped the original story it would’ve been so much better then the one we got

"Bro" didn't say any of that. My point was they changed things that didn't need changing and that Kenny's death was dumb in concept and should never have made it past the drawing board.

I don't know why Skybound/Telltale can't just go back and add DLC that unlocks new alternate storylines like Lee or other characters like Ben/Larry/Lilly/Katjaa/Duck surviving past S1. There's probably a lot of money in that. Even now people are buying the shit out of the definitive edition. They could just add decisions during all the timeskips in S1 that affects things like the Kenny/Larry meatlocker scene because Kenny gets a chance to know Larry or Lilly better, or where you catch Ben when he makes the deal and save Katjaa/Duck.

Imo they should have kept the Omid flashback for episode 2. Having his death and Christa's disappearance happen almost at the same time feels a bit rushed.

I'm wondering... Its completely out of my realm of ability and know-how, but what are the chances are that the scrapped ANF intro with Sandra and Clem could be reconstructed and completed? The animations are there, the concept art is there, character models and such right? Say for example, take Clementine's house from season 1 and either remodel the interior or take the existing model and retexture it and/or re-shade it as well as Clem's character model from TFS. Basically re-developing a canonical scene but fan made with the help of the original developers assets I.E. animations, models, etc. Disclaimer, (again) I have no idea if these animations and such are actually accessible to the public in any way, nor do I have any clue of the first or any step into this process. But, as Im writing this it does cross my mind that this concept if actually done somehow could just lead to an unfortunate cease and desist... But man wouldn't it be awesome. I can see it already.

Unfortunately there's a lot missing that makes it impossible. The character models are not there, most animations are missing and we don't have the environment for Clem's house in S3. We also don't have any voice lines besides cries/yells. I think with at least the voice lines something could be done but without them it wouldn't work.

@@InColdBloodTTG That's a real bummer. Maybe, just maybe someday we'll see the new era of modding and community collide with the development artists and VA's. "Alive Inside" might just be the start of something greater and newer to the fanbase. Here's to hoping. Also, just realized I wasn't subbed. Wasn't me I swear... Keep up the good work!

That dark script would be 1 hell of a read. Interestingly, i believe they were setting up the Luke vs Kenny arc the whole time UNTIL they got around half way through the season. Then, suddenly, Lukes character kinda shifted focus and writing. He just seemed to be there instead of the first half ehere he was involved

It’s crazy how good TFS ended up with all these things going on in the background and also switching to skybound halfway through Like Being like Lee was to Clem as Clem to AJ… it’s perfect. A perfect ending .

Great argument on content getting cut. in my opinion, developers really need to start unionizing to prevent management and investors, people who have literally not impact on development, from changing games and cutting content for profit and to release the game early. if all the dev teams stopped working and threaten to quit, we probably would've gotten a better game. and looking back, it totally would've worked. Telltale could not have afforded to fire all their devs and hire new ones.

Ooh now that we know Arvo (Eddie) could have had a knife instead of a gun. Perhaps originally if Eddie took the gun in 400 days he would appear using it in the balcony scene. Where as if Wyatt took the gun he'd appear welding a knife instead. Worth noting that Eddie does have a knife when Clem fights him in the S4 McCarol Ranch flashback

Kent mundle talked about this!! "201 was one of the must tumultuous episodes I ever worked on. It was honestly pretty demoralizing, by the time I got to do my final scene (the bit where Clem arrives at the cabin and is put in the shed) I just wanted to be working on anything else. I did Clem arrives on the beach, and it was like, about dragging a boat to make a little shelter for yourself, all gone. I swear you met the dog there in an old version and he hung out with you for multiple scenes before the bite. I did a bit where when Clem fell in the river it was actually interactive, like pushing left and right to avoid rocks. I worked at least a little on that Clem/Christa in the woods scene, probably just the freewalk part. I recall when they added the log to burn instead of one of the two pictures. And that’s only my stuff, the rest of the episode probably has a lot of different horror stories of waste. "

S2 had so much potential even tho still being my favourite. I think my only real problem with the season is Nick's death in E4. He should have had some last words and maybe even given his hat and pete's watch to Luke, then in E5, when you cross the ice lake, you can either save Luke or Jane. If you save Luke, the fight at the end takes place cause Kenny disrespects Nick, leading to a back and forth until Luke disrespects Duck, leading to the death fight. I think in Sarah's death scene even if Jane saves her she just goes into deer in headlights mode and freezes showing she was never going to survive.

Season 2 was just a mess to begin with. I don't think the S1 team worked on S2, at least not in the later parts. Most of S2 is just feels like depression porn, with the writers deciding to put Clem through as many traumatic scenarios as possible. Most of the characters are pointless, they barely got any development before they were killed off because the writers didn't know what to do with them. Luke was the only good character introduced in S2, and they killed him off in such a lame way. The worst part is the feeling of "why is an 11 year old girl responsible for doing this and not the grown men" throughout the entire game.

@benyerd6247 S1 team did work on it but the story they made was way too dark. If you think S2 is depressing now it would have been 100× worse by the og team. Tbf I think the point of S1 is that clem is the hope for the future and S2 is where that flame is tested to its max. I think the characters were very well developed and on par with S1's and miles ahead of the abysmal and mid ones of S3 and S4. Most of their death aren't pointless but I think Nick and Sarah's fail in execution. I've already said what they should have done with Luke but his death is massive to the plot as he is the one keeping the group together and after he dies both sides start turning on eachother and his death scene is very well done. People always say clem does everything but not really, only the wind turbine is a good example and tbf none of them had a lighter to see the electronics. It is a bit rough around the edges but I still personally find it my favorite even though S1 is better written. Edit: I think with the additions I've mentioned it would definitely be on par with S1

I like this better. The mystery aspect is cool, but this gives you way more time to be around her. She feels sort of dehumanized in the final game to me. It's common for pretty women to just be the victims in this sort of story, and this gives her a lot more depth. I don't feel like I'm yet another big-cop-man chasing a dead damsel as much--I feel like we accidentally crossed paths and I got to meet a human person before her untimely passing. That hits much harder to me.

I wish they had kept Bigby's gruesome moments. We see how badass he can be. And we also see how he kind of reverses back to his old monstrous days whenever he turns more and more to his wolf persona. It would also make sense why Colin said everybody is afraid of him and why Mary said, "You used to be something. They used to fear you," almost with admiration. It would also make sense why Snow wanted to leash him more to follow the rules, as she was afraid of him losing control. In the finished game, he just seems less evil, but sometimes more like a bully. It makes sense why no one seems to respect him at all.
