Actually 17:51 I had someone who worked on this game tell me the reason for that Cube being there was because in that scene you're given a choice to save or kill Ben but they wanted to make it so if Ben did fall he wouldn't clip through the zombies (walkers) on the way down so to save time they lined up a box to where Ben would fall so they could make the scene as immersive as possible.

Stretching the head was not efficient. Because they just add more shapes to render really. They probably realised this later on. The other reason could be it was just so much more work than just toggling off the models head. Last reason could just be the angles. Harder to get better angles without it interfering.
@Masterlegodude5 жыл бұрын
I feel like it was actually a choice to keep the head in that scene just for the sake of being able to see Lee's shadow during that scene If they removed the head, then Lee's shadow would have no head, so the best they could do was move it back just a little so that there'd be space for the camera, and have Lee's shadow appear normal without his head being pulled too far from his body

The utilitarianess and lack of grace shall I say for many of these animations once out of the player view really makes me appreciate the immersion of this game. The game does what it needs to in order to set the scene for the player and it does it really well when on screen. The world always felt real and alive and like things were happening even when i couldn't see them, but that's very clearly not the case, and this game is a pretty packed example of that.

Dude, I spent two and a half hours driving around the big nothing in Mad Max. In Halo people are still spending DAYS breaking out of the map just to look at one building, which is visible from the map, but closer up. There are hundreds of videos of Shadow of The Collussus that is just empty land being crossed for the sake of seeing what's out in the hidden parts of the map. There are forum posts dedicated to finding the empty BS outside of the world in ESO. Key word being empty, nothing. Not everyone would, and I totally agree it's not worth it to do this for every episode, but if you ever do WANT to make an episode where you just float around and look at every little detail outside of the player's view. If you ever want to do an episode where you forget the "there's a lot of stuff, but I don't think you want to see it" ideal... A lot of us would still watch that if it cropped up once in a blue moon. For some reason when I first saw "Walking Dead" in the title I confused it with some other game and thought "oh, just some zombie game" and almost ignored it, but then I remembered what Walking Dead is and looked again and prepared for the nostalgia bomb. I remember watching Season 1 as it came out and it doesn't feel like 7 years! That's back when I watched Pewdiepie play it, and now when I tried to watch him play Season 3 a year or two ago I just got bored and stopped. Things change quickly.
