Stopping Pete is pretty much ACTUALLY a bad choice. He's trying to help you and Sam escape, and he wanted to distract the guards in order for you to escape. You did the right choice to make it evil.

If you don't stop him. He will be captured by them but he is useless actually so you're right.

I always kill Randall. That's logical and strong decision. These visions with her daughters are so stupid and annoying, if this was removed, this game would be better and I never stop Pete because he is useless. He can't do anything expect complaining. Why I should save someone like him? He will survive anyway.
