I also connected the sunflowers here right away to the ones in the house, I'm also always trying to connect little details, even if they don't mean anything later on. it's fun to to think about and sometimes they do reward us with nice foreshadowing :) (and speaking from experience, creators love to put those details in, pretty sure I didn't catch all of them, so keep on guessing!)

I saw those same connections, Lacey! And I actually thought that the woman's freaky painting in the house was the woman who greeted them at Terminus (same color hair, same braid.) But you actually pointed out that it was the painting of the woman in the rocking chair. I have seen this episode countless times and NEVER noticed that. Good eyes! Comic Comparisons: Last episode mirrors what happens with a pair of twins named Ben and Billy similarly to Lizzie and Mika the twins lose their father and mother at different points in the series and it takes a psychological toll on and he kills his brother Billy the group doesn’t know what to do with him they can’t leave him on the road or kill him because he’s a kid Carl takes the matter in his own hands and kills Billy and action nobody would know about until much later in the series. As for Carol and Tyreese they were actually romantically involved but when Michonne shows up and seduces Tyreese Carol catches them this begins a downward spiral with her mental health until she tries to make friends with a walker and lets that walker bite her neck resulting in her death.

I think what Lacy caught is Visual Hint, I took a movie statistics course in collage and all you did is watch movies and determine why they are good or not. That is basically what I took the course for lol. However In that course I learned how many films hide things, not only in the dialogue but In the visuals. The things might not even be related to each other but they hint at something that may happen or not. Best example I can give is in this movie, were guy is eating Jelly Beans, and he leaves the last one in the bowl, and sure enough he is the last guy standing at the end of the movie. Many are not really noticed on a first watch through, but I think you caught something here even though I never noticed it.

Like I've said before Lacey, you just keep being a detective because you're really good at that and you made me understand why that painting didn't make sense to me at the time until you pointed it out. And I do remember there being a sunflower painting and I went back to check it out and the painting does show a woman with a braid on the right side of her face. And we've come to conclude that the lady killed her family, destroyed that painting and then killed herself. I don't know and I can't say if that has anything to do with the fact that you noticed some type of call back or connection to the lady at the end of this episode that Glenn's group met at Terminus. But it does make you wonder, doesn't it? lol. Wish Wednesday was here already. Lol steve cant even fathom the idea of foreshadowing and easter eggs. Steve you are thinking that those little things were supposed to lead you to be suspicious. There not. Easter eggs and foreshadowing is only supposed to be interesting to catch the second time around or thinking about the two things together after the second thing happens. When I first watched this, I too saw the similarities with the sunflowers. Especially the framing of the shot this episode, low angle, you are supposed to see the sunflowers. Whether there are any connections to the painting, the woman, the braid, the dead people in the house Michonne and Carl were in... I honestly can't tell you. But you are correct Lacey, that this show drops it's share of Easter eggs. It's really in the second or third viewing of an episode that you pick them up. As the editor, you have that advantage over Steve. Putting this issue to the side, let's focus on the episode. We find out the rules and the mission that Joe's group is on. The "code" the group lives by seems to really resonate with Daryl, as shown by his quick adoption to it. I really like Joe in this one. He might seem very brutal, but it's a brutal world. You adapt or you die. I have a slight bone to pick with Glenn's group. If what we were told was true, that Glenn was unconscious for three hours while Abe was driving north, there should be ZERO chance that Glenn would have met up with his wife this soon, since they have been traveling on foot since Eugene killed the truck. These kind of logistical issues grate on me. As they did in GoT with teleporting fleets and characters. We do get to know a bit more about Abe, Tara, and Eugene. Which is always a bonus. While Eugene gets on a lot of watchers' nerves with his talk and mannerisms, I just love the guy. He's just so... bizarre. I think it's safe to assume that Abe is one of the good ones now. One I think, Steve in particular, will really enjoy. Military background and all. Plus a ton of quotable lines. If I can note... (which I suppose I am doing right now), please watch Bad Lip Reading: Carl Poppa AFTER the next episode. It is spoiler free, and to put it mildly, fucking hilarious. Great reaction. Thank you both. I look forward to the season finale, and just what you'll make of it. Until then, keep on keeping on.
