This was a tough one to get through. It's a shame TWD gets no Emmy appreciation in the acting categories because I think Andrew Lincoln continues to give outstanding performances and the premiere was no exception. Everyone was great but with Andy I felt his pain, his torment, and his guilt.

Don't get me wrong. Andrew Lincoln is a great actor. But even great actors can fail. I think his bad acting comes from the bad writing. It's hard to act well when your character is not really interesting. I mean, i get so excited when i think about Rick in the first two seasons, he was charismatic (but he had good scenes in the others seasons of course)

I read the comics, and I expected they would kill Glenn in the show as well. I was hoping they wouldn't because I think there are other characters (Daryl) who would've been the best choice for the Lucille death. If they were going to kill Abe then they should've given him his comic death instead of killing off Denise so soon. And Daryl should've gotten Glenn's comic death. Daryl's story line has been stagnant for a while and while I get he's many people's favorite it was his time to go.

At the end of the Sunday Dinner scene, I think Morgan purposefully moved his arm out of the way to show Sasha was pregnant with Abrahams kid. And that was possibly a small reason why Stephen Yeune (aka Glenn) and Abraham looked at each other. They had a similar hope that was in common with each other. Man this show is dramatic.

Because Glenn's death has the biggest impact, on the viewers and for the characters. I don't read the comics, but I'm glad they stuck to Glenn's death for the show since it's an iconic moment from the comics and has far more of an impact than Abraham's death.

But the writers of the show had to "up the ante" in order to appease us comic book readers..so we wouldn't feel disappointed,or less shocked, than was expected. Fans were already unhappy with the "cliffhanger" season finale. Even Robert Kirkman himself apologized for the cliffhanger. I believe this was their way of making up for that. Some of us discussing the season finale right after it concluded knew they would have two deaths, and we even narrowed it down to three people. At any rate....bring on Ezekiel! :)

The thing that put the Glenn death over the top was when Negan after he popped Glenn's skull said he was sorry and then said no exceptions, it was basically a 4th wall break by the writers and JDM telling you the viewer to don't get too attached to these people because they can be gone in an instant and that's what happened to Glenn you thought he was safe and then boom, gone.

This was one of the most impactful episodes of all time. I started binge watching the first 2 seasons of TWD just after s2 finished airing on TV, and this franchise has changed my perspective on Television . It motivates me to make KZbin videos and share my opinions with fellow fans. Glenn has been my favorite character from the start and always will be. I'd like to do a character spotlight on my channel for him, but it would be so difficult to perfectly capture the joy and purity that is Glenn Rhee. This marks a completely different era for the walking dead. However you may feel about this episode, you have to admit that it has affected you. I've been going into extensive breakdowns, reviews along with predictions, and let me say that there are so many levels of hidden meanings and emotions in this show. Once you get over being traumatized, take time to notice the smaller things and actually pay attention to each implication you can truly grasp a larger respect for such a show at this caliber.

Anton Nyström The character that got killed Glen (The oriental guy) was there since episode 1 back in 2010 He is very likable and kind. The type of guy that would give you the last slice of pizza. He was a fan favorite and he got killed like a dog. Gasping, crying, bloody, a horrible way for someone to die. Imagine some one you look up to a lot (Which a lot of people do with TWD characters.) Or hell... even just picture your childhood hero dying like that.
