yep it was intense originally I like season 5 opener but this just tops that I mean it was intense suspenseful and sad almost gave me a tear at the end when they broke rick

I loved the flashbacks, idk what everyone else expected, but I needed a little bit of emotional resonance before seeing the deaths. Seeing Rick recall the memories and knowing they would never be the same was perfect, and I don't call that gimmickry. I call it good storytelling.

I totally agree, this was the moment where it’s just all hitting Rick like a ton of bricks that there is no way out of this one. This is a dead end in every direction. You lose. He’s just completely crushed and this part of the sound track drives that despair home so well.

This was easily the most hopeless situation they had ever been in, and it only kept getting worse as the episode went on. Truly a horrifying moment in the series, and one that's impossible to forget.
