Early prediction fellas in that we will get that Daryl & Rick reunion during the finale ep of his show which to me would be a perfect way for that to end as this show was solely centered on Rick & Michonne reuniting together & home to their children. And now we have the good possibility when Carol finds Daryl that she's gonna tell him Rick made it back home & that's why she was free to leave the kids to go search for Daryl cause it bugged me back when I saw that Carol had left kids leaving them essentially without a parent figure other than Ezekiel. So I do think we will have a bros reunion, we just gotta wait and be patient.❤💞❤️

I think is kinda dissapointing... like... they been telling us the CRM was going to be the biggest enemy in the whole twd universe... and got destroyed in only one episode?? For real? I mean... 500 year plan to rebuild the world, the biggest military on the planet, managed to keep Rick Grimes locked in for 8 years and got wiped out in only ONE episode just because "Rick and Michonne together can do anything"? Like it seemed so unreallistic that in one episode they returned to cascadia base and were able to kill Beale, Thorne, the whole CRM army and military, make the civic republic and portland find out about the true evil intentions of the CRM and at the end returning safe and sound to Judith and RJ who were specifically there waiting for them to land? In only one episode. I mean i understand they wanted to give it and end and not make a season 2 or make movies, and give us the happy ending we wanted. But i feel it was at the very least... rushed. Like they made us thought Beale was the biggest menace of the whole universe... and he appeared less than Gareth, and was much easier to kill... then kill Thorne and the whole of the CRM in the same episode... it just seems odd to me, like, we got the ending we wanted, but way too soon, like everything went perfect and as planned for the first time in their lifes... in only one episode, when there were like 3 episodes which their point was Michonne trying to gain back the Rick Grimes she once knew. They spent a whole episode chasing Jadis so in the end she died, but in only one episode they wiped out the whole CRM, saved portland and told everyone the CRM was evil, killed Pearl Thorne, killed Beale, AND returned to their children all in an one hour lapsus?? I would feel like an idiot if i was with the endlings on the world beyond since their whole objective was doing the thing Rick and Michonne did in only ONE episode, and they couldn't do it on an entire season. I honestly don't get why some people don't like the ending. They say that Rick and Michonne taking out the CRM doesn't make sense which is funny because 90% of the CRM Military don't know what the other 10% do and Rick and Michonne killed that 10% in this episode. Also this show wasnt really all about the CRM it was about Ricks and Michonne's love as corny as that sounds. Me personally this ending is good enough. I'm happy that Rick and Michonne got the happy ending that they deserve. The reason why Rick doesn't have his hand is because its symbolism of Rick leaving the CRM behind. Also Rick can get a new prosthetic hand just like Aaron. Also the Bunny that Michonne picked up was a reference to the Walker Girl that Rick killed in S1 ep. Imo the plan being easy made sense considering that the Red Striped CRM Soldiers are the most loyal to the CRM master plan so if anyone did see both Rick and Michonne they would think that they got a order from a higher up like Beale and would think that they are loyal to a tee and also they where busy with the briefing. I would love a CRM prequel show. I hope that we do get one.

It was easy because that was the Cascadia base. They weren’t in Philly. It was a small group they had assembled to prepare for the summit. They were the only ones aware/ complicit in all the shit the CRM had been doing. And Michonne had been saying for two episodes that THEY didn’t need to execute a plan to take out the CRM. They needed to destroy the file, get the details from Rick’s briefing, and take the info to the people at the CRM in Philly because THEY would take back their own community and that’s what happened - listen to the newscast at the end of the episode.

I think some fans started missing the point of what this series would be. From the start Andy, Danai and Gimple said this would be giving a closing end to these two characters and their story arcs. They crafted the CRM within this show to be a defeatable force its why they structured that only less than 10% of the force was committing those atrocities and not the entire military, that way they would be a reasonable force these characters could defeat. Too many people kept seeing this show as an "expansion" of the TWD universe and not the conclusion to a story. Loved it so much and love Andy and Danai for doing it!
@mattb74799 ай бұрын
I mean, in fairness, it's new episodes with new storylines in a new location previously unseen, so it's absolutely an expansion of the universe. And it stars 2 characters from an ensemble show. You can't just write all criticism away with "they said it was a love story, it's not supposed to make sense in the greater universe..."
@annrozhets65629 ай бұрын
Too many people keep seeing it as an expansion because this is how it was marketed to us. So it is fair. They just didn't deliver under the cover of "it's a love story"

@annrozhets65629 ай бұрын
@@sparglass Gimple talked a lot that the things we are about to learn will change everything forever. But even if you didn't pay attention to the interviews their trailers highly implied that. And the "universe is expanding" was written all over their spin offs. They never said it was a 6 episodes limited series, they said "we'll see where it goes". And they have been building that Eshelon briefing since episode one. This was one thing that was mentioned in every episode, they were building it up and emphasised it in every trailer for the next episode. Only to deal with it within like 30 seconds after a several minute dialogue from Beale. It's very underwhelming and it is just bad writing. I love the walking dead though it was never even close to top TV shows like Breaking Bad etc. writing wise. I see it more as my guilty pleasure so I have no problem admitting that the writing was extremely poor and rushed, lacking resolution for relationships and plot lines with over the top ridiculous explosions and grenade surviving.
@alexandrucalitescu58229 ай бұрын

While I get some people feel this was rushed I thought the pace was just about perfect. Nothing was too dragged out and it was such a tight pace that was well done and kept me entertained Having them take out the army the way they did I liked cuz it was actually believable rather than having a big unrealistic gun fight and I do appreciate that the CRM isn’t completely gone so there’s future possibilities to explore more of the city, the fallout from these events etc if they really wanted They set out to tell a love story of Rick and Michonne and they more than accomplished that. While I would love a whole episode of Rick catching up with everyone, obviously that can’t happen so they gave us the most important reunions and the rest can be left to the imagination although I am open to seeing more if they do go that way I imagine considering Norman wants a Rick/Daryl reunion they can always bring him back in small doses but as far as this series, it perfectly closes the story on Rick and Michonne while leaving the door open for other things Similar to the cannibals in the main show, I do appreciate that Beale was a short term villain and not dragged out for multiple seasons which can work but the shows has already done that before and we learned enough about Beale and who he is and with a great actor like Terry O’Quinn, he made the right impact in such a short time and because it was short term I appreciate him a lot more Plus it was great to see Rick be the one to kill him They managed to pull off the stakes and threat of the CRM without oversharing too much of what they do, sure I would have liked to have seen more but this show gave me more then enough to understand how the CRM works and there is always the opportunity to explore more with them in other spin offs potentially I did find it very poetic that Rick and Michonne took the army out in the exact way the CRM were taking out communities, nice bit of poetic justice and considering I’m sure Beale has a son, there’s deffo room to explore the fallout of that event

His ego is what hot him killed, and I love that it was done quickly and efficiently. Go, Rick!! Plus, they only took out the evil part of the military. The rest of the military exists. Rick mentioned early on that there were a lot of secrets in that place and that even the military doesn’t know everything the military does. This was the perfect close to Rick’s chapter. Somehow I knew that Beale would turn out to be a nothing burger. At the beginning, all I heard about him was that he was a great actor from Lost (never watched) and that TWD would make him the big bad. I don't remember any of the shows advertising making him out that way. The show itself never gave him a lot of screen time like they did say, the governor or negan. Beale's reputation seemed to be mostly mythos to make him bigger than he actually was. His story was told to everyone entering that side of the CRM and a good way to indoctrinate them. Thorne turned into a zealot for this CRM religion. You all saw that Beale couldn't fight worth a damn, he spewed nonsense like he was a god but had no physical attributes to back it up. All his conquests (from what we were told and what we saw) he had an army fighting for him but HE took all the credit. He ordered the annihilation of Pittsburgh... he wasn't on the ground. And his going out and fighting walkers (delts, dumb name) where he is behind a fence and they come at him one at a time showed me Beale was not a leader that could lead the people, he was a dictator that demanded people do what he says do. Fans who are mad they didn't make Beale bigger than they thought, need to separate the actor from the character. This is The Walking Dead. Doesn't matter if you are the President of the United States. If you cameo on this show, you will become a walker. There used to be a time that people begged to come onboard just to be a walker. (This is just my take by the way)

Leaving the hand behind for symbolism was fine, the timing was the issue. It would have been better him ditching it after they took out the CRM. Ditch the scene Thorn finding the hand as she was already suspicious of Rick when no one was at the fence so her finding Rick was fine. Instead use that time to show Rick leaving all his CRM gear behind including the hand as he gets on helicopter in civilian clothes before transitioning to their landing. Basically after the CRM is finished him leaving it behind to move on would be fine, but before that when it is a weapon. Especially since he had no problem giving michone the CRM leader's sword.

I think there was a mistake with the prosthetic hand. Because Rick was seen using it against the CRM soldier in the elevator, but is later seen without it/left behind and found by Thorne. It was definitely an afterthought idea after they began shooting the scenes.

Fun fact and also a what you missed the boots Andy was wearing at the end meeting his kids while walking out of the helicopter are the same shoes he wore on day 1 of the show as he shoots the girl who picks up the bunny also hints why michonne picked a bunny up callbacks are crazy in this one honestly think that’s all for the grimes

I think people forget that most of the people that are in the CRM were Bs not As so they were all followers not any leaders Beale was under the impression ( and he stated it) the fact that Rick came back when he had the option of being free that he was broken enough to be a B. So it understandable that everyone was a little complicit. They went along because this Leader told them this.

The hand: Maybe Rick wanted them to know it was him. “Tell Thorn, it was me.” lol Ninja bite: Luckily all the “walkers” had helmets on, preventing them from biting. So I thought that was a believable to dance around that many walkers without a bite. Story Pace: Not showing us the political drama of the CRC vs CRM was a good choice. This was never a political drama. It would have been boring / drag. This show settled the original show’s outstanding plot lines. Bravo! Extended Story: we still have all the Major Biel “frontlines” spies embedded in all sorts of communities out there! We have variants & mutant dead. They were also very clear that the CRM has very little info about ‘the planet’. They were only confident about their superiority on a North America.

The writers of this episode was Scott Gimple and someone named Chandler Powell. Danai and Andy as executive producers were able to bring in their ideas and suggestions. Andy said they relied on Scott to figure out the logistics of the explosives and gas writing. Also, the summit included the 10% of the CRM that were the secret group in red suits who did the killing. The other 90% of the military were left in the dark. Oh, and it was only 6 episodes with a budget of $13m . That’s why they couldn’t extend to 8 episodes. Anyway, I appreciated the finale and I got what I wanted to see as a Richonne. I’m happy.

After I saw the last episode, this made my heart sad and I cried until my tears came out because Rick returned to his community and was together again with his children. And also this episode shows us a clip of what Rick's story is from Season 1 to 11 and that's what makes me goosebumps. And Michonne Is An Awesome Character On The Walking Dead And I'm Not Sure Whether There's A Season 2 Or Not But I Can Just Wait If There's Not That's OK There Are Still Other The Walking Dead Stories Like Daryl Dixon Season 2 because We're Still Curious About Darly Dixon's Story In Season 2

I mostly enjoy this episode and really enjoyed this series. I just had a little problem with the pacing and was disappointed with the villain. I get the criticism of this being rushed or that they didn't utilize the CRM enough or as good as they could have. What I don't get is the need to make up things unesserary. 1. They did not defeat the CRM. 2. They did not fight against an army. They put an explosion while they were busy preparing to attack a whole city. Rick and Michone were smart and lucky, not stronger or better. 3. They were able to do this because every soldier were busy like I said before. They thought themselves as the strongest army in the world and were just focused on their mission. I really don't like when "criticism" comes from a place of making up things that never happened or misunderstanding. Seriously, one criticism said that they defeated the CRM becuase of love. Like when did that ever happened? Another is that this was always going to be a Rick's and Michone's show. Though rushed because it was just 6 episodes, this was always going to be the ending. It was either going to be this or Rick and Michone dead.

I don’t really mind Rick leaving his prosthetic behind. I think that symbolized Rick leaving behind his CRM self. He lost his hand trying to escape and accepting the prosthetic was part of “accepting” the CRM for Rick and leaving it behind symbolized him moving on and finally escaping the CRM without his hand how it always was supposed to happen. However I do have some gripes with this last episode. I am satisfied with the ending overall however I thought the echelon briefing was somewhat dumb. I hate when bad characters have their reasons for doing what they do based on something that the viewer doesn’t get to see or even understand. In the case of this show that Beale thought humans would go extinct because of “modeling”. This makes almost no sense to the viewer who has seen humanity fight and stay alive in the apocalypse despite all odds, with no indication that humanity was loosing the battle. In fact it makes more sense that eventually humanity will beat the dead given that the dead continue to slowly decay and less and less zombies are getting made after the initial outbreak when the bulk of all zombies were made. However if Beale maybe brought up the fact that variants are now spreading through the continent and that new zombies have a chance to maybe be a variant then the dead actually pose a much greater threat to humanity than they ever did previously and his position to basically kill everyone else would actually make sense. I also thought the whole radio broadcast at the end was somewhat cheesy, like there was absolutely no one left to try and take over the CRM? I though we should have at least had a scene where Rick and Michonne go before the council and show them the evidence, and then maybe Rick goes and sees his water manager friend, I don’t know I never really had any care for the actual civic republic like the city part. As a viewer there was really nothing tying to us to the city so it would have nice to have a little bit more. 5/10 episode 8/10 series overall

As a longtime TWD fan myself, it was nostalgic to see all the flashbacks & I was wondering if they was gonna leave on a big cliff hanger & do a season 2, but with way it ended, it seems not, but I am happy with this ending for Rick & Michonne & I agree with the points that Quinn & Dave said, tie up loose ends, we need a big reunion of all the characters when all the spin off series come to a close, I guess it could be symbolism why he left his prosthetic hand behind, or maybe he don't want to be reminded of his time in the CRM now his back home with family & want to leave those memories behind, but all in all, it was a good way to conclude their story, I shall miss seeing a notification on Sunday nights of a new TWD vid by Badd Medicine, but we still got some future shows to look forward to! thanks for a great reaction vid guys! it's not been aired in UK, so was great to join you in this journey!. 🙂

As longtime TWD fans I feel we're so used to painful endings that it's hard to wrap your mind around a happy one. But I'm not gonna lie, I don't want a season 2. I love the idea of Rick and Michone, after everything they have been through, just get to enjoy being a family. Get to enjoy all the time they lost. To me, either one of them dying would have been too cruel. This ending was oddly hopeful and after years of pain and agony watching your favorite characters get brutal ugly ends, I am down with a little hope.
@Jacobmelrose269 ай бұрын
I never thought Rick or Michonne would die but I did think one of them would get bit by a walker and be immune. That's something I think the writers have been hinting at a few times. I figured it would either be Rick or Michonne but it really could be anyone at this point.
@np06249 ай бұрын
I think the reason it was so easy to take down the CRM is because everyone there was higher level and had fully bought into the idea. Beale said there had been no one like him that he'd given the briefing to. I think they felt everyone was on even ground and they were safe. I too hate that Rick left his prosthetic behind. He needed that for fighting but I get it was his way of saying he's done with the CRM having a hold of him. I still HATE it. (Probably Gimple's idea) I hope that since there's now an oversite committee monitoring the military and for everything Rick did for them they will be willing to make him another one which would hold a different meaning to him now. There are many ways they can continue TWOL just not focused on the love story aspect. They could have Rick and Michonne be part of the oversite of the military. They could travel to various communities and let's not forget that there are secret agents throughout the world and in Portland. Also, Beale does have a son who might want payback.

So there were a few things about his hand that bothered me. First of all, he had taken his hand off when he was talking to the general, he jumped over the table. How did he get it on so quickly? Secondly, he still had his hand when he killed the one CRM soldier and he had the body of the general in the container and then he put that guy's body in the container and then what he walked up to his room took off his hand and just put it on the mantle? And thirdly I agree, why would he leave that behind? It would have been such a pivotal tool to have when he was fighting after the explosion

TWD Dead City takes place in 2028, roughly 6-ish (give or take years after The Ones Who Live). The Day the Global Outbreak started was August 25th, 2010. This is the TV Series Universe. The Comics Universe (which includes the comics, Novels, the Telltale Series Games, and TWD Saints & Sinners Game) Outbreak took place on July 19th, 2003. The comic ends with a 25 year jump, which means it's 2033 where the comic ends.

I just think imo it's a symbolic gesture of CRM control over Rick's body. It's not like he's gonna walk around w no hand the rest of his life. He will get another prosthetic of his own making & / or choosing , and maybe he just wants to get a regular hand to wear instead of a weapon all the time like Aaron & have am attachment change out when needed if & when he needs to fight anything.
@MrsBramletJr9 ай бұрын
@@jenloveshorror It looks like the Badd Medicine crew get that too. At that point, he wasn't out of the battle/CRM grasp yet and he was still in danger. When he was fighting Thorne and the Walkers it was a harder for him since he was one-handed. Rick could have removed his hand before getting off the CRM helicopter that brought him and Michonne home. That would have been just as impactful. He would literally be leaving that part of himself behind on CRM property before returning to where his heart truly belonged.
