You've really got to give it up for Big Bertha. With her powers she could easily live out a life of wealth, influence, and comfort, but when she discovered how they could be used to stop evil, she CHOSE that path instead. She would rather put her life at risk in order to help others over sitting at the top of society, that is selfless. Not only that, she also uses her fortune she earns by modeling to fund her team.

Thanks! I think they were introduced in west coast avengers #42ishh, i can’t quite remember which issue exactly G.L.A Missasembled, Great Lakes Avengers and Great Lakes Defenders(GLX) are all good reads too. I use Marvel Unlimited to read about them.

They really are a super fun group and totally worth looking into. If I'm not totally remembering wrong I'm pretty sure Deadpool ran around with them for a couple issues of something too. These guys were my second favorite jokey superhero team since the Nextwave books ended. Also shameless plug for Nextwave : Agents of H.A.T.E, it's amazing and funny and everyone should at least give it a try.

Leather Boy is a real asshole! After he killed Monkey Joe the Great Lake Avengers tried to drop him off to the police, but turns out killing a squirrel isn't really a crime, so he really didn't serve much time. After that there was a funny bit where Leather Boy designed the costumes for the Great Lake X-men which looked like the black leather costumes from the live action movies, but when Deadpool figured out who Leather Boy was he beat him up and the X-men immediately went back to using their old costumes. Later, Leather Boy still wanted revenge so he crashed Squirrel Girl's Halloween costume party wanting to kill her new favorite squirrel, Tippy-toe, only for Deadpool to stop him again and tie him to a tree outside, where he let Tippy-toe get his revenge by calling all his squirrel friends to, presumably, kill Leather Boy off-screen in revenge for Monkey Joe.

Marvel just throws stuff at the wall to see what sticks and if it doesn't stick by issue 2 it is told wrap it up NOW. Like Slapstick is my favorite Marvel hero and his sort of reboot solo comic was supposed to get around 10 or 12 issues I think... it got shit canned by issue 8 or 9 and they had to cut storylines and character arcs short. It was a shame too because I find it hilarious that one of the driving forces was the denizens of Dimension Ecch was that they wanted their genitals back because they all got Ken and Barbie when they were turned into cartoons.

All of the members appears to have a specific shtick that would normally seem terrible but makes for a great team of buddies: Mister Immortal: Can't die, just literally can't die (and was apparently chosen by the One Above All to replace Galactus if Franklin Richards can't make it to the end of the Seventh Cosmos) Big Bertha: Like Blob from the Brotherhood of Mutants except puking makes her skinny (part of me wishes I had that ability) Flatman: Quite literally Mister Fantastic if he was a mutant and Flat Stanley Doorman: Basically Cloak without Dagger Dinah Soar: Devil Dinosaur if he was female, alien, and could talk (also spoilers for anyone reading: Her and Mister Immortal's relationship goes far beyond her just "consoling him" when he comes back to life, she straight up had love at first sight upon seeing him and he accepted it. Her species mates with those they fall in love with for life and those they fall in love with are the only ones that can understand them, unfortunately like many of Mister Immortal's love interests... she died. But the good news is she now plays board games with the other dead members in the Overspace)

For what is essentially a pin-stitch of the most scattered hero concepts, the WA seem actually competent. Despite their undoubtedly funny and absolutely not-epic abilities, combined together they make for a damningly more cohesive team that it should have any right to be. I guess they could be compared to a team of reserve fire-fighters. Yeah, they're in a pretty backwater place where much of nothing happens and yeah even when something does happen it's rarely a true world threat. But just the same as firefighters based in places like California and Texas, the moment they hear that alarm go off they get it, and they get it done.

i got some analyzing with these heros: Mr imortal could be a great hero despite his practical cool down. I see some potential a good hero. He could wear bullet proof vestes and suitable fire proof stuff to ease it with a timer. the problem with this is. does certain death take longer to heal? or is he capable of feeling pain? If he Doesn't he could be a perfect rescue hero. Even with Doorman they could save possible victims who are willing off themselves. He could also try using a staff of another weapon to defend himself. He could use like rubber bullets or even have handcuff since he can just take the hit. And He could use himself as a meatshield to protect any citizens from cross fire. i think Doorman with His power is beyond powerful. he could camouflage himself during a kidnapping. Or Highjack. Even if does his power cause loud noises or can he make the size of the portal? He could guide shots at his opponents or even use his costume for stealth missions. I'd probably recommend capture or close range. I would think he would be good for close range combate. like office building or maze like alleys. He should use it as his advantage and even have smoke grenades like how batman does. I would also change the color of his cape since people would notice him right away. He could also be a quick infomation gatherer But there like a few question if there drawbacks like Ms Bera? And Is he able to access alternate universes? there is so many possiblities with his power. Who could call it weak if you use it right. He would also be a perfect underground hero. Night time and his unoticable camouflage and he could find like hideouts without getting notice too. just to think of it. Flatman is a perfect Spy. He's flat but he might be limited on his mobility. But if he capable of sharping himself he could give shallow cuts or even be able to be set up trap if he capable of stretching or thining himself. I only got a few question regardig him though. Is he fire proof? Even if he's not. He could adjust his suit to being Fireproof and cut proof. possible be able to become a living riot shield. another thing maybe he could be a duo with Dinah since she also would be amazing for a spy hero. Of he capable sliding through doors my question is. how far can he go when it comes to going through thin crevices. slight opened door or a huge funiture. He could disguise himself as a cardboard cutout. I'm sure no one would bat an eye. If dress and acts accordingly. Dinah-Saur Feild day with her. If her sound can smooth; Is it capable of getting other emotions? She could prevent people from hurting themselves. Or be a rescue for like huge building fires. not only that if she could control people to feeling a different emotions. How far can the sound travel? Has she tried experimenting with mimicing? Or try contacting Animals with familar sounds? I also believe the hero squad could even make a noise signals that they could all get familar with. Just in case if things gone south. Like Flatman; she too could be a perfect spy hero with her power. only question if she can see far distances or have qualities of dinosours? She could be able to follow people if she gets in far height. maybe giving her a zoom lense with night vision could work if she can't see far distances. She could scout in case of nation wide disaster she could save people are trap or a lead for rescue. Big Bera Her power is.. intresting. So When it comes to her power I still kinda tryna get to see what she might be able to do. Again few questions. Can she control where the fat goes. If so she could use it like a multiplier for defense. She could be a huge rescue hero to save people from falling. Or even being a sheild like immortal. She can take it unlike immortal. doesn't mean He couldn't do it. She more fit for rescue and be perfect for charge in's. A few things i would bring up is her diet. Is it fat which makes her able to use your power? Is it sugar like a pure sugar rush which activates it? Does she get different ablities for certain thing she eats? But She is hands down a perfect rescue for floods or protections from heavy weather if like cars being tossed around she could prevent some casualties with her power. Or even catch someone and take the hit of the fall? would she be able to find another way to deactivate her powers without throwing up? maybe some medicine after so she can always be ready in case of another emergencys?
