I’m just watching this 50th reunion, one year later. I was 18 when the show first aired on television, and I’ve watched every episode. Over the years, the show has been on TV from beginning to end, over and over. I Still watch. I’m 70 years old now, and watching The Walton’s, somehow, comforts me and takes me away from today’s world. Thank you!❤️

@@rossbrowning5201 U R right! The Walton's in the 1970's were definitely the exception. It was a show that portrayed what was best about family, friends, the Depression, and basically history. I'm now 61 and watched the Waltons with my parents each week when it aired in the 1970s. My parents were older when I was born--my mother almost 41 and my father 46. They lived through the Great Depression in rural N.C. and were transfixed by each episode. I liked this show too, and I appreciate the memories I have of watching it with them. This show and others like it helped instill in young people a moral sensibility and a strength of character. This show and its characters were not only entertaining and inspirational, but they were instructional, as were many other family series of this ilk (Little House on the Prairie, Good Times, The Cosby Show, Gunsmoke). Thanks for posting this video and bringing together the cast for a reunion.

52 here, my dad was 51 when I was born, and my mom 44 years of age, my parents lived through the great depression, my dad was a WW2 combat veteran - north African campaign . I still watch this show on METV every day, it reminds me of my parents and how much I wish I could have lived then.... even as hard as it was back then, I'd take that over these days if I could. I have my own and now grown children . I raised them on shows such as this one. always nice to hear of another 'change of life' kid such as myself. I adored them and just about everyone of the ' greatest generation' they were wonderful people. I'm glad that shows such as this are still on television these days if some of the kids nowadays would watch them and hopefully try to emulate life from back then. BTW when I turned 51 I thought of my dad often and wondered how he was able to manage having a baby in the house ( my mom too) but they took it in stride - just like they had done all of their lives. God Bless You!

Looking bak, now I remember that this was along the time we stopped going to church on Sunday Night. My mother loved The Waltons. She grew up during The Great Depression. She said the reason she liked it was 1, it was clean, and 2, it was accurate. The scene about the little boy being taken to Miss Verde's. Back in that time, if certain people - the Klan got wind of such a thing happening, there would have been violence. My mom was the oldest of her 6 other siblings, was only 7 when Wall Street crashed starting the Depression. The ages of the kids actually is very close to my dad's family, with him as the youngest son. Today, when I catch an episode, two things happen, 1. I have a window into how it was when my parents were younger, and 2. As it was with every episode, I cried before the end of the hour, usually in the last 15 minutes.

One of my all time ever favorite shows. Richard Thomas is still one of my favorite actors too. I've seen all their shows over and over but I still keep watching.

My family were much like the Walton's with the same ethos. When I here that music the hairs on my neck stand up. In a good way. The show taught us much about family and how we should treat each other kindly. The scenery was stunning and again we learnt a great deal about nature. I thank all the cast and crew for giving us such great memories and including us in their lives. God bless you all and keep you well.

Everyone moves on, but The Waltons are always a pleasure to hear about, remember and yes, revisit. Mary Ellen was my favorite character, and I related to her so well as the eldest daughter of a large family but each one held a special place in our home. Thanks to them all for their great performances.

The Walton's began airing the year I graduated high school. I remember loving the show then and still watch the reruns now, at 68. If only families and communities had the strong, loving bonds that the show portrayed. It must have been good for the cast members too. You can still feel the love between them when they are together like this years later.

Writing acting scenic doesn't get better than the Waltons. Love this and makes me long for integrity, connection, entertainment with substance, real actors. Thank you for the hours and hours and I still watch.

How enjoyable to watch! I'm 52 - my family watched every week. I has a card board Walton's house...a little old car...& maybe a doll or two. Mostly, I remember crying BIG tears when the house burned down!
